Going to be honest, I was thinking I'd vote for Sand if he was against Feenstra in the general. However, after seeing what other Democrats are fighting for in our state (Senate candidates, treasury candidates, etc). Idk If I could trust Sand to not back-stab us.

OPT puts Americans last and should be terminated.
Hany Girgis@SanDiegoKnight

American college grads are literally 7% (at least) more expensive to hire than foreign OPT workers ….because of a ridiculous tax loophole that lets companies skip FICA taxes on those foreign hires. Senator @SenTomCotton introduced the OPT Fair Tax Act on September 30, 2025 to END it and make them pay the same as Americans. This should be the most obvious NO-BRAINER vote in Congress. It’s been sitting in committee for over 7 months with ZERO action. How has this STILL not passed yet? (And yeah — OPT should be banned outright anyway.) Pass the bill NOW and put American workers FIRST. 🇺🇸

Why does capitalism need so many subsidies?
Hedgie@HedgieMarkets

🦔Meta's $10 billion Hyperion data center in Richland Parish, Louisiana, will receive $3.3 billion in state and local tax breaks over 20 years, enough to fund the state's entire police budget for more than seven years. The deal exempts Meta from sales and use taxes on roughly $35 billion in GPUs. Louisiana is one of 36 states offering tax breaks for data centers, with Virginia foregoing $1.9 billion annually, Georgia $2.6 billion, and Texas jumping from $150 million to over $1 billion in a single year. Only 11 of those 36 states disclose which companies receive the breaks. Local opposition blocked 48 data center projects worth $156 billion in 2025. My Take Louisiana taxpayers are subsidizing Meta's GPU purchases at a rate exceeding what the state spends on most of its public services, and Meta is spending $135 billion on capex this year. The company does not need help getting off the ground. The justification comes down to 500 operational jobs once construction ends, which does not pencil out in any honest accounting of public investment return. The race keeps happening because states are competing against each other, and the only beneficiaries are the hyperscalers playing them off. 25 of the 36 states giving away billions refuse to disclose which companies are receiving the breaks, which removes the accountability that would normally check this kind of arrangement. Good Jobs First says the $3.3 billion estimate likely understates the true subsidy because nobody outside the deal actually knows what got promised in the contract. Local opposition blocking $156 billion in projects last year is the only mechanism currently slowing the race, and the disparity between what hyperscalers are getting and what communities receive in return is wide enough that a reckoning on these deals is coming. The only question is whether it arrives before the next 3,000 data centers get built or after. Hedgie🤗

this is madness "7 in 10 Americans oppose constructing data centers for AI in their local area, including nearly half, 48%, who are strongly opposed." Data centers are becoming the new nuclear power plants. Everyone wants the benefits of AI: faster medicine, better science, cheaper services, smarter tools, more abundance. But when it’s time to actually build it, no one wants it near them. The AI age needs energy, chips, cooling, land, transmission lines, and massive data centers. We won't get the amazing, advanced future (abundance, no diseases, aging cured - we need a TON of AI to achieve this) by opposing every piece of infrastructure required to build it.

Is anyone familiar with the Flock AI surveillance cameras that are going up all over Northwest Arkansas right now? These cameras are being installed by a billion dollar corporation so government agencies can spy on us and track our every move, WITHOUT a warrant. Not only do they read every license plate and detailed vehicle description, they also store that data in searchable private cloud servers that are integrated with Palantir (another AI data company). The shills will say it’s for “safety”, but the 4th amendment was written to protect all of us from this kind of mass AI dragnet surveillance, and I won’t be quiet about it, and you shouldn’t either.

Karmelo Anthony had a bond of $250,000 btw. He stabbed Austin Metcalf in the heart for no provoked reason and there were multiple witnesses. Chud uses self defense against someone assaulting him and his bail is set to $1,250,000? The system is racist towards White people.

Remember Karmelo Anthony, the black kid that stabbed the high school football player in Texas because it was raining outside and he was feeling disrespekted when asked to leave the tent he wasn't supposed to be in? Bail cut down to a quarter of the original amount, released, and attending college. Trial starts in June. How will that go? Decarlos Brown, stabbed Iryna Zarutska for no reason at all? Ruled mentally incompetent. State charges dropped. Federal charges remain but a mental competency hearing in June may eliminate those. Murder is okay when you're black. Self-defence is illegal when you're white.

You did it, activists! Instead of the land being remediated and converted into a structure that contributes massively to the tax base of a shrinking city, the site will remain a polluted and mostly-empty gravel lot that stages disused construction vehicles!
