Husband just shown me a post on our village Facebook from a newcomer to the area asking who's a good doctor to use for their mental health.
About 25 replies from all different people recommending a particular doctor in our surgery who deals with their mental health. And our surgery apparently has a dedicated mental health nurse too.
Good grief. I'm probably the only person in my village who's never been to the doctor with mental health issues. But then I've never claimed benefits either.
@SandyofSuffolk Whoever invented Sandy as a character has a pretty good imagination.
They’ve invented the perfect intolerant, nimby, silly oap character, the stuff they pretend she thinks genuinely makes me chuckle sometimes. Bravo, right wing engagement person, bravo 👏🏼
Did you know the new Energy Independence Bill Labour have just introduced makes it illegal for any minister to issue new licences for drilling in the North Sea?
So Donald Trump was right again, saying Keir Starmer is windmilling this country to death.
We need a new government who will drill, baby, drill and frack, baby, frack. Desperately.
@blaiklockBP Not saying you are lying but it’s funny how all of a sudden my feed is full of very similar posts. Scarily similar.
Hopefully we can all pay stupid amounts for private healthcare soon and have the excitement of medical bankruptcy to get excited about.
I broke my back a few years ago.
I saw a foreign doctor in AnE - somewhere from Africa.
He was very dismissive and pretty uncaring verging on rude . He looked at the scan and said nothing wrong .
Go home .
A few hours later get a call from a consultant.
Please come back urgently as your back is broken and we need to check the spinal cord as it can lead to permeant paralysis.
Plenty of stories like this which is why NHS negligence claims are billions and in the sky.
Mine turned out fine, many do not.
Home 🏠 safe and sound.
All I can say is the sooner an airline or holiday company like Jet2 or TUI introduce adults only flights or sections in their aircraft, they've got a guaranteed customer here ready to pay extra for the privilege too.
My wife collapsed in our hotel room in New York today
“Call an ambulance, I can’t breathe” she was screaming
My heart dropped
If she ends up in an American hospital we are financially ruined
I went on the Lufthansa app to book a flight back to Frankfurt, but unfortunately pilots are on strike today
“Please I’m begging you” she was lying on the floor
I sighed and called 911
She is now in surgery as apparently her appendix “almost burst”
I am extremely scared
This is going to cost us at least $100,000
She could have received much better care, for free, in Germany
I will never visit this barbaric country ever again
@robprogressive I’m not a fan of gambling in any form but the lottery doesn’t seem the worst culprit.
Add to that the bollocks you talked about winnings being taxed.
The lottery is an absolute disgrace for these 5 reasons
1. The gateway drug to gambling addictions
2. The illusion of chance & the selling of false hope to BROKE people to make them more broke
3. The outrageous amounts of tax the govt. literally steal straight off the winner
4. Taxing already tax paid money: the double dip
5. Absolute monopoly control…
…which is why no one can do anything about it or break this legal scam
Except you can
Boycott the lottery. It’s called ‘lottery’. NEVER, ever buy tickets
Instead, invest the money; invest in yourself
Do not enable the system any more at your own expense
To all the horrible people on this platform who are glad my sale has fallen through, remember there's other people in the chain who are equally as devastated as me.
And your glee shows me what a terrible person you are to wish misfortune on them too.
Remember this tweet when karma knocks on your door.
The excuse 'We need breakfast clubs at school so we can get to work on time' won't wash.
Either get a job starting at 9.30 or pay a childminder or family member to look after your child at 8am and take them to school at 9.
Like we used to.
And don't forget to brush their teeth and use the loo instead of nappies before you pop off to work too.
Like we used to.
I am a practicing Catholic. Have been all my life, waaaayyyy over half a century. But I’ve had it with these damn popes getting political!! I couldn’t stand Pope Francis. 😤 We catholics are taught to believe that the pope is divinely chosen. That he is infallible. But I’m sorry, this one and the last one are hardly infallible. 😒 I had hopes for Leo but I had also heard that he was a liberal early on. Already, I can see he’s no better than Francis. Please, stop making Catholics feel like we have to choose.
Because I’ll choose Jesus always, but you are NOT Jesus!! I will NOT change my stance on my president! I will support him, however, the one thing I CAN control? How much money I put in the kitty every week. 💰 And right now, I’m not putting ANY money in that’s intended for Rome. Until the holy father stays out of our politics, he gets not one. red. cent. from me! His job is to lead people to Christ like a shepherd, not to “pontificate” on @POTUS@DonaldTrump! @Pontifex
We all watched Artemis II splash down yesterday… but I’ve got a real question 🤔
If that capsule just ripped through temps around 5,000° on reentry… where was the steam when it hit the ocean? 🌊🔥
Hot metal + cool water = steam, right? You’d expect a massive cloud, but there wasn’t much at all.
So what’s the deal? Cooling before splash? Heat shielding doing its thing? Or something else we’re not being told? 👀
Curious what people think…
@cecegkh CeCe the bot thinks Trump is doing it for free😂
Imagine championing a sex offender and serial fraudster who’s actually doing it while being a sitting president.
If you was a real person I’d suggest you are a silly cunt 😂
Look, I've no problem with young people going travelling and having a great time. It sounds fabulous.
Just don't come on here whining when you can't afford to buy a house in a couple of years' time.
Because we won't care.
@StrikeEnjoyer@SandyofSuffolk She thinks young people should up sticks and move to the arse end of nowhere for a house they can afford.
Places with zero jobs but also of the opinion that working from home is for lazy Gen Z’s who are work shy and shouldn’t happen.
Right.
Stepdaughter just told me the youngest grandson's girlfriend (20) who's been living at home for 2 years and working just 30 hours a week in M&S for 2 years has saved £15,000. She's not been paying her dad 'keep'. Sigh.
Nice deposit for a flat you may think. But no. Going off travelling to Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia and chucking her job in. 🙄
But the good news is....🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁 youngest grandson has dumped her. 🤣
