@BritIndianVoice Can a non-Indian resident or national apply for training India and walk into their first job without ever stepping foot in the country or knowledge of the healthcare system?

British Indians Voice 🇮🇳🇬🇧
A new law just quietly passed that will hit Indian doctors in the UK. The Medical Training (Prioritisation) Act 2026 — signed into law March 2026 — prioritises UK medical graduates for NHS training places. Around 138,400 licensed doctors who qualified abroad currently work in the UK — 42% of the total medical workforce. Without them, the NHS collapses. Full stop. This community deserves better recognition, not quiet erasure. 🏥🇮🇳 #BritishIndians #NHS

@DianaBr95650186 @LauraTrottMP Those are units of data storage not energy. Most people carry that around in their pocket. Perhaps boomers that can barely type on a keyboard shouldn't be contributing to this debate about "square eyed children"

Red Tractor and Halal: A Direct Contradiction: Red Tractor requires an irreversible stun — the animal must not regain consciousness before death. This is a hard standard, confirmed in writing by email. @RedTractorFood @Tesco Halal certification bodies, including the HFA, permit a reversible stun. Shazans states its animals are pre-stunned and HFA-certified. These are not the same standard. A reversible stun fails Red Tractor's requirement. A product cannot honestly carry both a Red Tractor welfare mark and a halal certification.

@beautysfullhair @LuyiDee Has anyone stopped you from applying? The fact there IMGs who got offers in IMT disproves your "exclusion"

🇬🇧 Chris | The £100k Journey
The biggest wealth destroyer in the UK, along with PCP, is everything else that comes with it. £2,000 a year insurance. £1,800 a year fuel. £500 random repairs. £400 tyres. £300 MOT and service. £200 road tax. £200 parking permits and tickets. That's £5,400 a year just to sit in traffic and wave at the bloke in the £2k Honda doing the exact same commute. Same school run. Same Tesco car park. Same journey home. The only difference is he's not lying awake in January dreading the insurance renewal. Into an S&P 500 ISA: 10 years = £75k 15 years = £135k 20 years = £220k Your car isn't transport. It's a tax on status.

🇬🇧 Chris | The £100k Journey@100kDiary

The biggest wealth destroyer in the UK right now is PCP car finance. People on a £32k salary will happily lock themselves into a £500/month contract for a Mercedes they will never actually own, just to sit in gridlocked traffic on the M25 and try to impress people in the lane next to them. Then they get to the office and complain that taxes are too high and the government is holding the working class down. If you put that £500 a month into an S&P 500 ISA instead of a rented German car, you'd be a millionaire by retirement. Stop blaming the Prime Minister for your own terrible capital allocation. Your car isn't an asset. It's an anchor.

It’s not luck, and he’s not better than you. The reason he’s in the predicament that he is, is because of generations of bad decisions. Your ancestors came from nothing same as his, the difference is yours built something, and his didn’t. Don’t let third world retards gaslight you, there is no magic soil, the third world isn’t a location, it’s a people.

My "Roman Empire is the realization that my life is a lottery win. Somewhere in Sudan, Pålestine, iran, Afghanistan, Iraq or Congo, there is a boy smarter than me. He is more disciplined, more resilient, and holds more potential in his single finger than I do in my entire career. The only difference? I am siting in a train and he is sting in the rubble of his dreams. My "bad days" are his wildest dreams. My "burnout" is a luxury he can't afford because his only job is staying alive. It's geographical luck and it's a haunting injustice that we all refuse to acknowledge and look away

Right. Stepdaughter just told me the youngest grandson's girlfriend (20) who's been living at home for 2 years and working just 30 hours a week in M&S for 2 years has saved £15,000. She's not been paying her dad 'keep'. Sigh. Nice deposit for a flat you may think. But no. Going off travelling to Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia and chucking her job in. 🙄 But the good news is....🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁 youngest grandson has dumped her. 🤣

@Vaseline_Beaver @jimthegiant I understand crime. 1 in 4 white girls experience SA before 18. 2 in 5 Asian do. What’s the ratio on that? It’s very taboo in Asian communities and 80% of abuse never gets reported. These statistics you’re using are just an extremely ignorant understanding of the subject

@CalCarrie @DrLukeCraddock You would expect the staff group who encounter the most number of different patients to be more sick wouldn't you. A nurse may look after 6-8 patients while a doctor can see the whole ward of 20 patients, or a GP seeing 20+ patients in a day.
