Since macOS Tahoe, my spotlight has officially become useless. Taking the final step and replacing cmd+space with raycast. Sooo much better

@CodingWisely @rasmuscnielsen Okay, so in this case you use spotlight just to find something. I'm using spotlight to rearrange my screen, open github issues, open linear tickets, start spotify playlist, look at clipboard history, start and stop docker images... It's like a central app for all other apps 😅

@rasmuscnielsen @ModestasMV What do you do with it? I find spotlight super easy, no hassle, command space, start typing and hit enter. What else is there?!

@ModestasMV @CodingWisely Do you mean Raycast, or do you actually mean that spotlight is customizable and you can do awesome stuff with it? Cause I find that it's started failing me in the simplest of stuff which hasn't led me to dig deeper 😂

@CodingWisely @rasmuscnielsen Uhh, we can have a chat on where I use spotlight and for what :D But in a nutshell, spotlight is customizable to your needs and comes in with a bunch of built-in things. From simple searches, to full quick-links and snippets/search history. Not to mention - window manager :)

@rasmuscnielsen @CodingWisely With both Alfred back in the day and raycast now - I'm literally replacing it as soon as I install... It's just better.

@CodingWisely Its just a faster, more configurable, and drop-in replacement :-) I've used it for years with OPT+SPACE, but honestly CMD+SPACE muscle memory made me still use spotlight more. But Tahoe wrecked spotlight for me (like - it couldn't even find safari!), so now I made the full switch

@ModestasMV That does seem like the best solution. Maybe we should start our own cord company.

Everybody needs a cord box… until you grab the wrong cord and spend weeks wondering why your whole setup is broken 😅

Question for all the people using php storm terminal and Claude. Seems I can't paste the image into it. Have you tried? So, I open a terminal, and I type claude, and claude session starts. When I try to paste an image into phpstorm terminal, terminal or item, nothing happens, image is not pasted. I can do it in Warp tho. Image is pasted.
