We will attend the proceedings in Modimolle Regional Court for the Phala Phala criminal case as part of the ATMs continued commitment to transparency, accountability, and constitutional oversight. The issues arising from the Phala Phala matter extend far beyond the burglary itself and raise serious questions about the conduct of state officials, abuse of state resources, and the manner in which executive authority may have been exercised in the handling of this matter. We remain resolute in the view that no individual, regardless of office or status, should be beyond scrutiny where legitimate constitutional and legal concerns arise. South Africans deserve equal application of the law, full transparency, and confidence that accountability will prevail without fear or favour. Our attendance at court is therefore not symbolic, but a reflection of my commitment to ensuring that constitutional democracy, oversight, and justice remain at the centre of public life in South Africa.

Again. The private sector is heavily subsidised by the state, with very little, if any, of the gains making it back to the people the state is meant to serve. Instead the rich get richer and ordinary citizens bear the costs of the losses.

Balwin Properties plans on being delisted from the JSE 📊 the stock is down 60% over 11 years, leaving shareholders “homeless” with NO dividends yet somehow, the PIC is STILL paying a fat 40% premium for Balwin ⁉️ “privatize gains & socialise losses” is a broken model 🏡💔

Minister @GaytonMcK, people can say a lot about you, and I have too, but one thing I’ve noticed is that you are responsive. Please look into this for South African artists. This and AI are big threats to the industry. Thanking you in advance. 🙏🏾

Spotify reportedly generated over R500 million from South African artists in 2025, but questions remain around how much of that actually goes to the artists. mybroadband.co.za/news/it-servic…

The EFF’s Statement Condemning ANC’s Deliberate Obstruction of Phala Phala Impeachment Committee -By withholding its nominees, the ANC is deliberately undermining the implementation of Section 89 and frustrating the lawful functioning of Parliament. The ANC knows fully well that without the formal constitution of the committee, its work cannot effectively begin.

People do not eat ideology - well, they do !! The pipe is not neutral. The budget allocation is not neutral. The decision to outsource, to privatise, to build infrastructure in one ward before another - none of that is administrative coincidence. Services are politics made physical, delivered to your door or deliberately withheld. Local government is not a plumbing or electrical company. It is a site of ideology. What services get delivered, how they get delivered, to whom first, through what mechanisms, at what cost, and governed by whose values: every single one of those questions is a political and ideological choice. What is the relationship between the municipality and the resident - are you a citizen with rights or a consumer with a bill? These are ideological questions, and the LGE is where those questions get answered in the most direct, tangible way in people’s daily lives.

@Princymthombeni @Sentletse NB: Parliament filled its Equality Review Committee seats. However, a court-mandated deadline requires a fresh recruitment process for the Gender Commission (CGE) seat by August 2026. No firm timelines exist for filling the Human Rights Commission (SAHRC) or ministerial slots.

@Sentletse The issue is not whether South Africans queue at refugee offices specifically. The issue is whether the state has the administrative and financial capacity to manage rising migration pressures while already struggling to serve its own citizens.

You guys are making arguments that are not premised on reality and make no sense. Why would foreign nationals be delaying you in getting services from Home Affairs? What on earth would a South African be doing at a Home Affairs refugee office?

I don't understand how we fail to identify the naivety of thinking source of funding is irrelevant, we just need public infrastructure to be available & working. Eskom is right in our faces, available & working but suffocating the economy.
