Today I$rael tried to kill me in a targeted airstrike in southern Lebanon as I was reporting on was the targeting of bridges and the forced displacement of 1 million people, an ethnic cleansing operation on a larger scale than the Nakba
I have absolutely no doubt that this was deliberate. Despite claims there were no warnings ahead of the strike and no notifications sent to the Lebanese Army who allowed us to film
As we have seen in Gaza they want to silence journalists who document and report their war crimes
It is the western powers who provide political and military support for I$rael, arming it to the teeth to carry out genocide in Gaza and ethnic cleansing here in Lebanon. They are not simply complicit, but active participants and should be held accountable for their actions.
But if I$rael thinks today’s strike will silence us and keep us out of the field they are very, very mistaken

71 licences minières annulées.
Des comptes gelés.
Des centaines de millions de dollars en litige.
Le message est simple.
Si vous voulez exploiter les ressources du pays,
vous respectez les règles.
Sinon, la porte est ouverte.
Pendant longtemps, certains ont considéré les richesses africaines comme un droit acquis.
Or, ces ressources appartiennent d’abord aux peuples qui vivent sur ces terres.
Pas aux multinationales.
Pas aux anciens empires.
Pas à ceux qui pensent pouvoir imposer leurs conditions.
Et ce qui se passe au Sénégal n’est pas isolé.

Israel has ordered that all civilians evacuate a zone of 25 miles from the Israeli border. The area includes 10% of the territory of Lebanon and is home to approximately 1 million people. The order is indefinite and will follow the model of Gaza where anybody who is in this area will be killed. This is de facto annexation and ethnic cleansing.

NEW: Texas teen shoots woman in the neck who was visiting her friend with cancer before stealing the car belonging to the woman with cancer. 18-year-old Darius DeWayne Hall has been arrested for allegedly shooting Marietta Allison in northwest Houston. The friend with cancer, Cassie Daniel, has shared a post detailing what happened. "There wasn’t any parking, so Marietta had driven around the block to find a parking spot, and we heard the gunshot," Daniel said. "We were later told that her heart stopped immediately when [Hall] shot her in the neck." "The man took her purse, stole my car key, and took the car." This is a lie.
I was on the ground for this whole thing. The scary thing is not just that this administration is disappearing people. But that the whole time they were detained, the official story was that they were already released. While Sunny was in Broadview IL, and her phone showed her location there, ICE claimed they never even saw a woman. When she was released onto the street in Juneau WI from another ICE detention center, they were claiming she had never been detained.
People don’t just show up at an ICE facility in Juneau WI.
We cannot let the force of authoritarian government narrative change our reality.
