Not sunshine pumping but a little perspective. We held the lead despite playing horrible baseball. Yankees had a 7 game division lead at the end of May. They’re now 3 games behind TBRays. It’s a long season and I still believe our boys will turn it on after the break. 🪓🪓🪓

The Braves drop another series, they’ve only won 2 out of the last 10. This is a bad ball club in a death spiral right now and there doesn’t appear to be anyone capable of grabbing the wheel to right the ship. They are headed for something ugly and embarrassing if someone doesn’t turn this around. They don’t have enough pitching, they don’t have the bats and the elite bullpen is fully available once a week. 3 weeks until the deadline and there’s few true sellers looking ahead now and the options on those teams look thin.

Pathetic is a strong word; I don't use it lightly. But that was a pathetic performance by the Braves. Felt like they were sleepwalking for most of it. Self-inflicted errors led to 4 runs. I'm a fan of good baseball, and we didn't get that tonight.

And it wouldn't make me as angry if I thought this was a bad team, but I don't. I still very much believe this can be a good, if not great, team, and that's what makes it so frustrating to see them playing like this.

@ShortStopBall @Coach_king038 I agree but these players are paid alot to show up ready to go and do their jobs. At this level, Walt shouldn't have to hold guys hands and motivate them to do their jobs.

@Coach_king038 Agreed, and I don't want to put too much of this on Walt either, but as I was typing that up, my thought was -some of this has to be on the manager for not getting them ready to play.

I want to see Jarvis play every day too, but keep in mind he'd never had an OPS over .511 vs. lefties until this year.
