என் பையின் சிப் கிழிந்ததை சரிசெய்ய நான் கொல்லம் போகும் வழியில் இந்த அய்யாவைச் சந்தித்தேன். “பத்து நிமிஷம் ஆகும்… வெயிட் பண்றீங்களா ” என்று தமிழ் கலந்த மலையாளத்தில் மிகவும் மரியாதையாகச் சொன்னார். பையை சரிசெய்ய காத்திருக்கும்போது, நான் சும்மா அவரிடம் பேசத் தொடங்கினேன். பெயர் – பராசக்தி நாடு – அடிமாலி, இடுக்கி முன்பு KSEB-ல் வேலை. ஓய்வு பெற்றவர். BSc, டிப்ளமோ முடித்தவர். வயது 70 KSEB-இல் இருந்து ஓய்வு பெற்ற பிறகு, பலர் ஓய்வெடுக்கும் வயதில், பராசக்தி அவர்கள் உறவினர் இருக்கும் கொல்லத்துக்கு வந்தார். ஓய்வூதியத் தொகையில் இடுக்கியில் 3 ஏக்கர் ஏலக்காய் தோட்டத்தையும் அதில் ஒரு வீட்டையும் வாங்கினார். கொல்லத்தில் வந்து அவர் ஓய்ந்து உட்காரவில்லை. உடல் சக்தி இருக்கும் வரை கட்டிட வேலைக்கு சென்றார். கிடைத்த எல்லா வேலைகளையும் செய்தார். வயது காரணமாக உடல் சோர்ந்தபோது, சாலையோரத்தில் செருப்பு, பை பழுது பார்க்கும் ‘ஆசான்’ உடன் சேர்ந்தார். அந்த வேலையை கற்றுக்கொண்டார். இன்று ஆசான் இல்லை… ஆனால் அதே இடத்தில் பராசக்தி அவர்கள் அந்த வேலையைத் தொடர்கிறார். KSEB பென்ஷன் இருக்கிறது. இருந்தாலும் காலை 6 மணி முதல் மாலை 6 மணி வரை வெயிலும் மழையிலும் செருப்பு தைத்து வேலை செய்கிறார். கொல்லத்தில் சம்பாதித்த பணத்தில் 5 சென்ட் நிலம் வாங்கி, ஒரு வீடு கட்டினார் — தனது சொந்த உழைப்பால். 5 வருடங்களுக்கு முன் மனைவி மறைந்தார். மகள் BSc Nursing முடித்து புதுச்சேரியில் வேலை செய்கிறார். இப்போது கொல்லத்தில் உள்ள வீட்டை வாடகைக்கு விட்டுள்ளார். இடுக்கியில் உள்ள ஏலத்தோட்டம் குத்தகைக்கு கொடுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. கொல்லத்தில் ஒரு சிறிய அறை வாடகைக்கு எடுத்து தனியாக வாழ்கிறார். சமைப்பதும் தானே. மகள் சில நேரங்களில் வருவார். அந்த ஏலத்தோட்டத்தை வாங்க ஒரு நிறுவனம் (மஹீந்திரா) வந்துள்ளது. “நான் சொன்ன விலை கிடைத்தால் மட்டுமே விற்ப்பேன்” என்று உறுதியுடன் இருக்கிறார். பென்ஷன் இருந்தும் வேலை செய்கிறார்… ஏனெனில் அவருக்கு தெரியும்: ஓய்வு என்பது உடலுக்குத்தான், மனதுக்கு அல்ல. மூன்று ஏக்கர் ஏலத்தோட்டத்தின் உரிமையாளர் — சொன்னால் ஒரு சின்ன கோடீஸ்வரர். இருந்தும் தெருவில் உட்கார்ந்து வேலை செய்கிறார். ஏனெனில் அவருக்கு தெரியும்: மரியாதை ஆடையிலல்ல, உழைப்பில்தான். மகள் நர்ஸ்… இருந்தும் அவர் மகளுக்கு சுமையாக இல்லை. ஏனெனில் அவருக்கு தெரியும்: பிள்ளைகள் நம்முடைய சொத்து அல்ல. மனைவி இறந்து 5 ஆண்டுகள் ஆனாலும் தளரவில்லை. ஏனெனில் அவருக்கு தெரியும்: தனியாக இருந்தாலும் முதுகு நிமிர்ந்து நிற்க வேண்டும். எல்லாம் இருந்தும், இன்னும் காலை 6 முதல் மாலை 6 வரை வேலை செய்கிறார். ஏனெனில் அவருக்கு தெரியும்: வியர்க்காமல் நிற்கும் நாள் — வாழ்வு மங்கத் தொடங்கும் நாள். நாம் பலர் 25 வயதில் “வாழ்க்கை சலிச்சுடுச்சு” என்போம். 30 வயதில் “வாய்ப்பு இல்லை” என்போம். 40 வயதில் “இனி நேரமே இல்லை” என்போம். 50 வயதில் “இனி முடியாது” என்போம். முதுமை ஒரு நோயல்ல… செயலற்ற தன்மையே நோய். பராசக்தி ஐயாவிற்கு ஒரு பெரிய சல்யூட் ❤️ இப்படிப்பட்ட மனிதர்கள்தான் நம் நாட்டின் முதுகெலும்பு. இவர்களைப் போன்றவர்களால்தான் இந்த உலகம் இன்னும் அழகாக இருக்கிறது. வயதை வெல்லும் போராளி — இவர்களின் கதைகள்தான் பாடப்புத்தகங்களில் இருக்க வேண்டியது. Just came back from a so-called "traditional" Brahmin wedding. The food looked decent at first, but when shirtless Brahmin guys started serving it sweaty, no shirts, just dhotis and sacred threads I completely lost my appetite. Felt disgusting to even sit there. Left the plate half-full and walked out. Is this "culture" or just poor hygiene passed off as tradition? Never eating at these events again.

நான் Five star hotel ஒன்றிற்கு உணவருந்த சென்றேன். மெனு படித்து விட்டு உணவுக்கு ஆர்டர் கொடுத்தேன். சுமார் 20 நிமிடங்கள் கழித்து, ஆண்களும் பெண்களுமாக 10 பேர் நான் அமர்ந்திருந்த டேபிள் அருகே அமர்ந்தார்கள். தேவைக்கு order கொடுத்தார்கள். சிறிது நேரத்திலேயே உணவு வந்தது. கூச்சலும் கும்மாளமுமாக உணவு உண்டர்கள். எனக்கு இன்னும் உணவு வராததை கவனித்த ஒருவர் அதை கிண்டலாக குறிப்பிட்டார். தனக்கு அந்த ஹோட்டலில் எல்லோரையும் தெரியும். அதனால்தான் quick and better service... no need to wait like begger என்றார். என்னால் பொறுக்க முடியவில்லை. ஆர்டரை Cancel செய்து விட்டு புறப்படலாம் என்று வெயிட்டரை கூப்பிட்டேன். வெயிட்டர் அமைதியாக என்னிடம் கூறினார். Sir உங்களுடைய order Very special எங்களுக்கு. அதை எங்கள் Chief Chef தயாரித்து கொண்டிருக்கிறார். அவர்களுக்கு தரப்பட்ட உணவு அவசரமாக, இங்கே பயிலும் மாணவர்களால் தயாரிக்க பட்டது. ஏனென்றால் உங்கள் உணவை எங்கள் தலைமை சமையல்காரர் தயாரித்து கொண்டிருக்கிறார். நான் அமைதி ஆனேன். பொறுமை காத்தேன். சிறிது நேரத்தில் என் உணவு வந்தது. அதை 6 வெயிட்டர்கள் எனக்கு பறிமானார்கள். Very rich food. நான் ஆர்டர் கொடுக்காதது. எனக்கு ஒன்றும் புரியவில்லை. நான் ஹோட்டலில் நுழைந்த போதே அந்த ஹோட்டலின் அதிபர் என்னை பார்த்து விட்டார். அவர் என் பள்ளி நண்பர். He wanted to surprise me. He changed my simple meal to a rich one and instructed the kitchen to give me a Royal treat. பக்கத்து டேபிளில் இருந்தவர்கள் வாயடைத்து போய் விட்டார்கள். அவர்களால் பேசவே முடியவில்லை. தங்களுக்கு ஏன் அத்தகைய service கிடைக்கவில்லை? என்று தங்களுக்குள் வருத்தமாகப் பேசிக் கொண்டார்கள். அது தான் வாழ்க்கை. சிலர் நம்மைப் பார்த்து நகைப்பார்கள். தாங்கள் சிறப்பானவர்கள் என்று குத்தி காட்டுவார்கள். கடவுள் தனக்கு செல்வமும் மகிழ்ச்சியும் கொடுத்திருக்கிறார் என்று நமது இயலாமையை சுட்டி காட்டுவார்கள். உங்களுக்குக் கூட வருத்தமாக இருக்கலாம். இவ்வளவு நாட்களாக உழைத்தும், பொறுமையாக இருந்ததற்கும் இன்னும் breakthrough வரவில்லையே என்று. Do not worry. The owner of the world, கடவுள் உங்களுக்கு நல்ல ஒரு உணவு தர வேண்டும் என்று உங்களை காக்க வைத்திருக்கலாம். அதை தயார் செய்ய சிறிது நேரம் ஆகும். அதை Chiefchef கடவுளால் மட்டுமே தயாரிக்க முடியும். பொறுமையாக நம் கடமைகளை சரிவர செய்து நாம் காத்திருந்துதான் ஆக வேண்டும். அந்த உணவு வரும் போது நம்மை கேலி செய்தவர்கள் வாயடைத்துப் போய் விடுவார்கள். Before lecturing Narendra Modiji, Mamata Banerjee do you remember how you branded this young student Taniya Bharadwaj as "Ma0ist" for asking you an uncomfortable question. Later she had to leave West Bengal. Also could you elaborate what have you done for Jadavpur University till date? Let’s be clear, Jadavpur University is indeed a premier institution, a temple of learning that has produced some of Bengal’s finest minds. No one disputes the merit, intellect, or achievements of its students. They deserve the very best, world-class infrastructure, academic freedom, and above all, safety. But that is precisely where the problem lies. Why does Mamata Banerjee continue to shield the architects of anarchy within Jadavpur University? Under the TMC’s watch, the campus has repeatedly witnessed deeply disturbing incidents: ▪️ A young, bright student was ruthlessly bullied and driven to suicide. ▪️ Another student's life was cut short, mysteriously dying in the campus pond. ▪️ Anti-national slogans are chanted with absolute impunity. ▪️ Vice-Chancellor appointments have been reduced to a corrupt, political circus, paralyzing academics. This is not about silencing debate. This is about protecting students from a radical ultra-left ecosystem that is systematically hijacking campuses and attempting to indoctrinate young minds. Students raising questions is democracy. But exploiting campuses to normalize extremism, intimidation, and lawlessness is not. When the Prime Minister raises concerns about such trends, he is not insulting students, he is standing up for the silent majority of bright, hardworking youth who come to institutions like Jadavpur University to build their future, not to be dragged into ideological battlegrounds. The uncomfortable truth is this: Mamata Banerjee rose to power in 2011 with the backing of ultra-left elements. That legacy continues to shape her political choices even today. She cannot act against them because they are part of her political foundation. The TMC and the ultra-left are not adversaries, they are enablers of each other. Bengal’s youth are not instruments for political experimentation. They are the future of India. They deserve safety, opportunity, and an environment free from fear and coercion, not campuses held hostage by radicalism and violence. If Mamata Banerjee truly cared about students, she should have started by cleaning up the decay.
