@stribrooks I believe you can draw a thread from Traficant to Trump. Very popular with voters, sold themselves as champions for the underdog while lining their own pockets. Didn’t surprise me a bit that Traficant’s former district went for Trump.

@Karnythia My 80 year old mother would love to downsize into a one floor condo or apartment. We’ve run the numbers and it doesn’t work. Lack of reasonably priced options with universal design.

Accessibility called...lots of seniors don't downsize because those new build townhouses popping up like ugly weeds aren't designed for anyone that needs mobility aids.

If you're in your 70s and sitting on a 4 bedroom house that you don't even occupy half of, I think you should be disincentivized to holding onto it If nothing else, take your profits while the bubble is still there and move into a smaller house? Lots of great townhouses

@PietroSassoPhD Those super regional institutions are struggling. What happens if they collapse? I don’t think in PA that the PASSHE system would let that happen. But, what if???

I am very concerned about masters comprehensive/regional state universities. I have a feeling many of workhorses may collapse into each other and form super regional institutions like in Pennsylvania.

@hahahahabreathe @BrynnTannehill PA resident here… living in a rural area! It’s definitely Trump leaning, but our governor is a Democrat, and so are our Senators. People are overall are respectful of differing political opinions - at least to your face. So IMO, I’d say the political stressors are better.

@ProfessaJay The only drawback to Pittsburgh is the distance from airport to city center. Recently I took a cab from the airport. Including tip was $75.

@emilykmay My kids rode the nap train until the first day of kindergarten. “Quiet time” on days they fought the nap preserved the nap schedule in our daily routine. Sending good vibes as those phases are hard!
