Yeah the baby team has always been in the room during delivery for all of mine, and none of mine even had any complications.
They're just part of the normal staff for all deliveries and if things go south they can call in more help. But there's always already a couple people there to start with.

@MomKrill Theres literally always a pediatrician on the floor in US hospitals. When my youngest was being delivered they needed to call the peds team in and they were there before i even finished pushing.

In the US, hospitals assign 2 teams to each birth. 1 team for the mother, 1 team for the baby.
In emergency situations it's almost never an either/or. The baby is delivered and handed off to their care team while the mother's team stays dedicated to her.

What I find annoying about the modesty discourse is that often it's just people proclaiming that fashion they personally don't like is immodest or that something is immodest regardless of situation when situation is generally the most important factor.

You cannot infinitely shelter kids, especially from age appropriate media. If there's a good reason that's one thing, but if it's just a bland show for kids that helps them to bond with peers via shared interests then you may actually just be making them feel resentful and socially awkward by being too strict.

Well modesty is cultural and context dependant.
I went and looked at the post and interaction. Shania has strong opinions, but in this case I don't think your standard is actually some sort of universal moral law. You have no idea if she was genuinely dressed immodestly for her current situation just because she's wearing shorts and a tank top, nor did she take a picture to try and illicit attention sexually.

Emergencies would normally be getting the baby out as quickly and safely as possible. I can't think of a scenario where letting the baby die helps mom.

@MomKrill @CovfefeAnon Yeah. And they work together! It probably does lean more towards baby health vs mom health simply because the trade offs to baby are probably universally worse than what mom trade offs are.
Babies are medically more fragile than an adult and can have larger consequences

@abigailsolutely I think middle school ages are when I would expect kids to stop wanting to engage in fantasy the same way younger kids do. Pre-puberty ages I think are innocent when they're being weird.
