I’m already excited for next year! We ran drills, learned plays & calls. We had mimosas & shopped; I got a little lesson with former Harlan/Soto kicker Jesse Perez and a coach today and kicking is so much harder than it looks!

Oh Man, what a blast at Helmets & Heels today at UTSA! I was more nervous than a long-tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs. Why? We lost our director of recruiting who did some heavy lifting, we moved the date to May in January, The Kentucky Derby is today, Game 7 of Round 1 for the Spurs was scheduled for today, & it was originally supposed to pour! 😂 We didn’t let it stop us! We hired 9th floor events (thank goodness) changed up the day a bit based on feedback over past years & managed to raise more this year than last year. And if I were a pollster, on the exit interview, it seemed like everyone would vote “YES,” for us to have a year 4. Thank you EVERYONE from Coaches to their wives to the players…to the sponsors… to the volunteers, emcee Mary Rominger & our DJ… to 9th floor events for taking this on while they already had another event scheduled later today…. To those that attended and bought a ticket or silent auction item …. And seriously to our committee that met every single Wednesday to get it done. All of you made today wonderful & I am grateful.
