Speaking with my dad this morning, the retired senior TPS officer who's spent 12 years seeing what an SA process has done to his kid, and his response?
"They should lock them up and throw away the key - fuck bail and fuck coming back to Canada."

@MalaMoragain13 Well they will be suspended from duty. So they won't be working. And hopefully the Chief applies for it to be suspended without pay. Then they won't have an income. They will have to get themselves back to Spain at some point and pay for lawyers

FTR, in Barcelona, prostitution is legal. Which means she’s a legal sex worker. But just the fact that these men will be put back on the force, & allowed to interact with vulnerable people is absolutely beyond disturbing. It’s unacceptable. They should not be allowed around women

Of course TPS wouldn't voluntarily put this out. They are not into exposing the toxic culture that is on the inside. Its not shocking. Look how many women on the inside have suffered at the hand of male officers. Heather McWilliams, Effy, and many many many more.

3 Toronto cops arrested in Barcelona for allegations of sexual assault, assault, & various levels of fleeing a crime & resisting arrest: Officer 1 - accused of fleeing, resisting arrest, assaulting an authority figure Officer 2 - accused of inappropriate touching (assault) of a woman, "sexual assault without penetration" Officer 3 - accused of punching the woman, fleeing crime scene, apprehended after being missing for 48 hours by Spanish National Police (they have two branches - the one that caught this officer is called "Guardia Civil" - more responsible for border protection/highways/maritime police All the above details are via a newspaper called Ara, published in Barcelona. en.ara.cat/society/three-… A few less details (so far) in Toronto/Canadian media - except for the one officer who's returned has been suspended, and the other two will be when they get back to Canada. cp24.com/local/toronto/… Worth noting Toronto Police Services didn't inform anyone of this happening until after the Spanish newspaper published the story Saturday. TPS' first admission of this was earlier today.

As I have already tweeted. There was an independent report done by Deloitte. I addressed the TPSB in a deputation in 2022 re harassment, discrimination and toxic culture. Perhaps if they actually abided by recommendations and paid attention to it we wouldn't be here.
