@BiologicalWoma2 @KamalaHQ Well it’s been dangerously hot as f*ck for record streaks here in the Southwest. Since we’re in a drought, maybe I should move to Florida. Heard all the flooding is fake news.

If/when Kamala steals the US elections, I don't think it will be a catastrophe for Bitcoin. In fact, one can argue that Bitcoin exists specifically to protect its users from such a tyrannical communist takeover. If anything, it will make Bitcoins use-cases and properties shine as a beacon in the darkness of communism. For a conservative american, owning Bitcoin might become a patriotic duty, as ubiquitous as owning a firearm. "Self-custodying Bitcoin to own the libs" could very well become a thing. This is something that I have observed, anecdotally and statistically, in Canada. I am not sure how much of an outlier Canada is compared to other countries, but the adoption of Bitcoin has massively increased as a result of Covid tyranny and more specifically the financial lawfare against political dissidents. The most powerful use-case of Bitcoin is, after all, to protect its users from the effects of economic central planning and communism. I don't think more attacks are something that Bitcoin needs to be more successful, an Bitcoin's value proposition demonstrates itself perfectly adequately with a slow decline rather than an accelerated disaster. I hope Trump wins and we get a break. Trump winning could be a great boon to the welfare of US Bitcoiners. He could override/block administrative regulations, interpretations and overreach such as classifying non-fiat Bitcoin services as money transmission, or classifying coinjoins and self-custody as high-risk activities and indicators of suspicious behavior. He could send out an executive order preventing agencies from trying to interfere with the Bitcoin protocol (doubtful it would deter spooks, but that would be nice). He could veto legislation which requires special permissions for self-custody or mining. He could direct the IRS to exempt Bitcoin transactions from capital gains tax when these transactions are conducted in the context of using Bitcoin as a means of payment, facilitating the lives of Bitcoin users (i.e. buying a coffee... or a house). The US government buying Bitcoin would certainly pump the price of Bitcoin but I don't think it would be an overwhelmingly positive development for the future of Bitcoin itself, at least not this early in the game, to me the best outcome is still a more decentralized and widespread private ownership of Bitcoin. Kamala will certainly do great harm to welfare of US Bitcoiners by directing agencies to crack down on them individually and on the Bitcoin businesses they use or work for. There are lots of small, low-effort policy and enforcement actions from taxation to KYC or mining regulation that can be executed rapidly and would make the day-to-day lives of US Bitcoiners worse. We also can't exclude more drastic policies such as sweeping legislation to restrict ownership of Bitcoin, broad directives to the deep state to sabotage the Bitcoin protocol, to control US Bitcoin mining pools, and even pressuring foreign governments to coordinate and adopt these drastic policies to prevent jurisdictional arbitrage. Regardless, we are at a stage where I believe these types of attacks on Bitcoin, while being a general annoyance and source of frustration, wouldn't cause irreparable hard to the network, which has an unprecedented amount of committed skin in the game, economic strength, and is still decentralized enough to resist (even if there is centralizing pressure). If such attacks do happen, and Bitcoin does indeed thrive in this adversarial environment (as it is meant to), I think it truly is game over and Bitcoin will be their downfall.

Trump's team conned a MAGA into shooting into the crowd, diagonally behind Trump. He thought his life would be spared. Another man was also killed, and two injured. Some were bribed or threatened not to speak out. Fake blood on Trump's ear. Photo op. Fundraising. Silence.

@beckbrand123 @Dianlow @harris_wins White supremacists, nazis and KKK aren’t voting for Harris or RFKjr, but ALL of them are voting for Trump. As a decent American who likes democracy and not dictators and/or felons, Trump is a hard pass.

@Mydrryn @Michell33650674 I agree with you. Also people aren’t talking about Trump’s Wolverine-like regenerative ability to heal. Shot in the ear with an AR-15 and it’s like it never happened. He’s like a super jesus.
