@DanielLDavis1 W/a truly good leader it’s a tough task to maneuver due to Netanyahu his need to continue killing and destroying. A psychopath with Nukes. Unfortunately Trump is an unhinged protégé of Roy Cohn combined with narcissistic disorder, zero ability for empathy and cognitive decline

It’s no exaggeration to say that the next 48 to 72 hours could be decisive for America’s interests. If through sober diplomacy, we prevent the war with Iran from erupting into a new phase, we can limit the damage already done, and have a realistic path, over some extended time, to getting back to having genuine national security and enjoying economic prosperity. But if President Trump chooses - again - to try and burn down Iran (by reigniting the war), the damage done to our armed forces and the commensurate weakening of our overall national security, will be grave. More importantly, we could be lighting the fuse on blowing up the global economy, and taking ours down with it, in a way that, in a worst case scenario, could take a generation to recover, if at all. There is no military solution to the war in Iran, because Iran’s geography, size, culture, and defensive capacity cannot be overcome with the resources we have allocated. Even if we chose to devote the entirety of our own forces, to include hundreds of thousands of ground troops, we would simply increase the cost of our loss. This war cannot be one militarily, period. That should’ve been evident from before the decision to attack on February 28 was made. But now that we have more physical proof, the president dare not reignite this flame. It’s time to acknowledge reality, limit the damage, and bring this war to a diplomatic close.

@cturnbull1968 Define average. There are no average 2 home owning owners in New York City. Maybe if they bought 50 years ago. At least come up with something based in reality. A studio costs 3/4 of a million. How many $80k earning “average” can afford 2 homes in NYC?

The Man Who Gave Away Patagonia Doug Tompkins sold his stake in The North Face for $50,000. He used the money to co-found Esprit. Then he sold that too, and did something almost no one does with a fortune: he disappeared. He moved to the tip of South America in 1990 with a theory most businessmen would find absurd. He believed the best thing a rich man could do was buy wilderness before someone else destroyed it, then hand it back to the country it belonged to. Together with his wife Kris, a former CEO of Patagonia clothing, they bought and conserved more than 2 million acres across Chile and Argentina. For context: that is roughly the size of Connecticut and Rhode Island combined. Most of it had been degraded farmland. Overgrazed, stripped, exhausted. The Valle Chacabuco ranch alone had been one of South America’s largest sheep operations. They bought it in 2004 for $10 million, then spent another $55 million over 20 years restoring the grasslands. Pumas returned. Guanacos returned. The land remembered what it was. The Chileans were not immediately grateful. Many locals saw it as a land grab. An American buying millions of acres and telling them to change their way of life. Some accused him of planning to split the country in two. Others claimed he was building a nuclear waste site. He kept buying land anyway. The deal his wife finalized in his name after his death became the largest-ever private land donation to a country. Over 1 million acres handed directly to Chile, triggering government protections on another 9 million. Five new national parks. Three expanded. A conservation corridor stretching 1,250 miles. He died on December 8, 2015, in a kayaking accident on a Patagonian lake, surrounded by friends including Yvon Chouinard. He had called what he was doing “paying rent for his time on the planet.” There is a certain kind of person who builds something great and then builds something greater by walking away from it. Tompkins is the rarest version: he walked away from two fortunes, bought a wilderness, and gave it to strangers. The land is still there. The sheep are gone. If this kind of story is what you read on weekends, you might belong here. Gandalv / @Microinteracti1

NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani just made history. New York’s first-ever pied-à-terre tax — an annual fee on luxury properties worth $5M+ owned by people who don’t even live here. Ken Griffin bought a $238M penthouse in NYC. He doesn’t live here. It sits empty. While working New Yorkers can’t afford rent. That changes today. $500M annually — straight to childcare, clean streets, and safer neighborhoods. This is what governing for people looks like.

If reports of a 20 year ban on Iran’s enrichment are accurate, and I doubt it, that would be a terrible concession. There’s no need for any concessions.  The Iranian regime will collapse if we keep the pressure on.

JD Vance: Iran said, 'We refuse to give up the right to enrichment.' And I thought to myself, you know what, my wife has the right to skydive, but she doesn't jump out of an airplane. Because she and I have an agreement that she's not going to do that, because I don't want my wife jumping out of an airplane.

@FiorellaIsabelM Didn’t Trump chastise Obama for $1.7 billion released to Iran? Is that more or less than the $6 billion Trump just released? Plus Trump lifted oil sanctions. This guy cracks me up with his back and forth. Iran is definitely winning the financial war.

BREAKING 🇮🇷 🇺🇸 🇮🇱 A large delegation of Iranian leadership including the FM, the Secretary of the Defense Council, Governor of the Central Bank, and a few members of Parliament landed in Islamabad. Iranian Parliament Speaker Ghalibaf, speaking from Islamabad: In the upcoming negotiations, if the American side is prepared for a genuine agreement and grants the Iranian nation its rights, they will witness our readiness to reach an agreement as well. However, in the current conflict, we have shown them that if they intend to use negotiations as a futile exercise or a deceptive tactic, we are prepared to secure our rights through faith in God and reliance on our nation's capabilities. Iran has reportedly accepted a 2-week ceasefire but emphasises that if the agreement is not satisfactory to them and the Resistance Axis, the war will continue. Per unconfirmed reports: ✅ The US has authorized the release of $6 billion dollars in frozen Iranian funds ✅ A ceasefire will be implemented in Lebanon The problems: Israel had already stated that a Lebanon ceasefire was not in play and claimed Hezbollah was the obstacle to peace. They’ve now said its attacks will need strict approval and as of now they’ve lessened their attacks. But the idea that the U.S. and Zionist Epstein cabal are not utilising this moment to plan and execute another brutal attack on Iran and Lebanon at a later time is absolutely naive and insane. Especially with U.S. vassal Pakistan as a “mediator” and Kushner, Witcoff and Vance, all Zionists as leaders. Trump continues sending MORE troops to the region. That’s not stopped and for what reason do you think? NATO & Europe are openly discussing forcing Iran to open the Strait of Hormuz via a military coalition of 30 nations—the mentioned this in D.C. Israel did attack Lebanon, and Iran went despite that, and there’s no way Washington will adhere to Iran’s demands and has stated such, not fully and not long-term. To me Iran has the cards and it’s had the upper hand. But the USIsrael will not stop until they are stopped. There cannot be peace as it is—anything achieved here will be momentary. Anyone telling you otherwise is IMO fully naive or unable to face reality. Iran’s shown the world Israel and Washington’s weakness and depravity. I truly hope they see them for what the psychopaths they are, and as stated above have plans when they break their promises. Otherwise the entire existence of the Axis of Resistance is in peril.

It took centuries of toil and sacrifice to reach the apex of human civilization that is America. The crux of the Democrat agenda is to resettle the masses of the world on our shores and redistribute the wealth and resources our civilization has produced until nothing is left.
