sweeping $10m is brutal until you realize it's all BTC and ETH. now the whole timeline and peckshield are watching those two public addresses. they hit the vault too early. they could have waited when $XMR is integrated...
however GG20 TSS exploit taking out an Asgard Vault right when Thorchain is about to drop native $XMR? The timing is way too convenient. A malicious node churning in just to compile the private key and sweep... someone is probably sending a message.

Most likely explanation is a GG20 TSS exploit. Damage contained to 1 of 5 Asgard Vaults (20% fund loss) Malicious node churns in, extracts key material from other nodes, compiles a private key and can sweep the vault. There have been multiple CVEs on GG20 over the years, patched at the time. Devs are looking deeper. The community has already most likely identified the actual malicious node in this case.

Monero (@monero) activated the FCMP++ and CARROT beta stressnet on May 6 at block 2,997,100. The upgrade replaces ring signatures with full-chain membership proofs, jumping the anonymity set from 16 decoys to over 150M outputs across the entire blockchain history.
Core developers call it the most important privacy advance since RingCT. Trail of Bits begins its audit May 11 through May 22. @IOHK_Charles posted public praise the same day, and $XMR is up roughly 7% on the week while the privacy-coin trade keeps drawing institutional capital.
