There are things that just happen in Kenya and nobody ever explains them… you just grow into them like a family curse.
Like tell me why you can wake up very motivated, very focused, umejipanga kabisa, today is the day you fix your life… you even make your bed properly for once, open your laptop, take tea like a serious adult… then out of nowhere, you remember something small like “let me just lie down kidogo” and boom… you wake up at 4pm confused, phone on your chest, data imeisha, 67 missed calls, hungry and now you’re angry at the government for no reason.
Or the way Kenyan houses have that one chair… that one very specific chair that is not for sitting, it’s for clothes… clean clothes, semi-clean clothes, “I can still wear this” clothes, mpaka it becomes a full mountain mpaka you’re just there negotiating with yourself, “hii bado si chafu” like you’re in a UN meeting with your wardrobe.
And don’t even get me started on Kenyan mornings… alarm rings at 6, you snooze like a responsible person, next thing you’re dreaming you’re already at work kumbe you’re still in bed fighting for your life with the blanket, then you wake up 9:42 with 33 missed calls and suddenly even brushing teeth feels like a luxury.
Then now you decide today you’ll be serious, you leave early, unaingia matatu feeling like a disciplined citizen, only to reach Thika Road pale Globe and the jam is just sitting there like it has land title deeds… cars not moving, conductor anaambia dere “kadere hapa tutakaa kidogo wacha nidodoke nikabook slot stage,” and after 40 minutes of staring at the same neighbor in the next matatu and the same billboard, you make a life decision… you alight and start walking like a focused adult who refuses to be delayed by life.
Now tell me why immediately your foot touches the ground, that jam starts moving… not just moving, MOVING… like faster than a phone snatcher’s boda boda, and now you’re there half running, half regretting, watching your matatu pass you like it has been waiting for you to get down. Saa hiyo unatembea mpaka railways.
At that point you even consider chasing it but dignity imekushika kidogo… so you just adjust your bag, pretend you intended to walk all along, and continue like a strong independent Kenyan ambaye amezoea character development.
Life here doesn’t humble you slowly… it just taps you kidogo kidogo until one day you realize you’ve eaten bread and tea for dinner three days in a row and you’re calling it “keeping things light”
Anyway… let me stop here mbicos si rahisi

@sholard_mancity People say kalonzo had his time and can't bring anything new. But he has never been president. Kalonzo might lack alot of qualities but has only two the we need as Kenyans; 1. Integrity 2. Listening ears
English

I watched Kalonzo Musyoka yesterday... and for the first time in a while, someone actually said what Kenyans have been screaming on the streets.
He promised:
- Scrap Housing Levy & punitive taxes pushed by William Ruto
- Kill the SHA experiment, fix NHIF & deal with corruption in it
- No mixing the presidency with personal business, like what Ruto is doing
- End police brutality & shootings of protesters, like what is happening under Ruto
- Stop the Ruto “shoot legs” madness
- No more goons being unleashed on citizens during protests, like what's happening now
Now pause and think.
These are NOT campaign promises.
These are protest demands.
The Ruto govt Police killed our comrades.
Others abducted.
Families destroyed.
And still... we were told to “move on”?
Housing levy is deducted every month..
But those who pay it don't benefit from it at all.
At what point does taxation become legalized looting?
For me, it’s not just what Kalonzo said...
It’s that he sounds like he’s actually listening.
Anyway Wantam. Ruto Must Go.

English

@davidmakali1 My advice to united opposition, let everyone vie. In this new constitution, it's not like 1992 when Moi used divide and rule against opposition. Ruto can't get a 50% +1 rule. Nature will decide who will face Ruto in the second round.
English

@WaruiJohn2 ManU fans are certified idiots. A club has no unilateral authority to withdraw a player from international duties. That decision belongs to the federation of the respective nation

@edgarwabwire_ Maybe there were killers trailing him but the bus hitting him can't be planned. How did a bus coming at 100km/hr knew that Jirongo vehicle was joining the road from a petrol station on the wrong lane
English

Whom did Cyrus Jirongo rattle? I visited his grave last night, and it still looks fresh, even more than a month after his burial. We were unanimously told that his death was an accident, yet not a single passenger from the Honest bus has come forward to confirm they were on the bus that allegedly killed him. Omwami, your killers are still walking scot-free… If the torch must go out, let it go out with them.

Look at this table, Manchester United sitting 20th on the discipline points ranking.
Now before anyone celebrates or panics, let me explain what this actually means in simple terms.
These “discipline points” are not league points. They are basically bad behaviour points. The more cards you collect, the more points you rack up, and in this case, more points is worse.
Here’s how it’s usually calculated:
- Yellow card = 1 point
- Indirect red card (two yellows) = 3 points
- Straight red card = 5 points
- Misconduct from staff can also add points
So every time a player gets booked, sent off, or involved in misconduct, those points add up across the season.
If Manchester United are 20th with 38 points, it means we’ve accumulated the least disciplinary points in the league so far, in other words, we’ve been one of the most disciplined teams.
Chelsea being top with 86 means they’ve collected the most cards and therefore the most disciplinary points.
So finishing bottom of this table is actually a good thing. It means fewer reckless tackles, fewer suspensions, fewer unnecessary bookings.
And for once, being 20th is something positive.

English

@sholard_mancity CS Chirchir is busy looting the docket. Very silent.
We used to have serious people like Michuki
English

NTSA, this requires serious reflection.
I have just watched Citizen TV News report the tragic death of a passenger, Mureithi, who was allegedly pushed from a moving Super Metro bus by a tout. His head struck the road and he died on the spot.
What makes this particularly disturbing is that it is not an isolated incident. Last year, Citizen TV also reported a passenger, Gilbert, who was pushed from a Super Metro bus over a mere KSh 50 fare dispute and survived with injuries.
In that case, the driver was arrested and a few penalties followed, yet operations continued.
Today, we are seeing the same pattern: arrest the driver and tout, then move on as though the system itself bears no responsibility.
This raises a deeper question: at what point does repeated harm trigger institutional accountability at supermetro rather than individual punishment alone?
In a functional transport system, recurring incidents of this magnitude would prompt suspension of routes by Super metro, heavy corporate fines, mandatory safety reforms, and strict oversight.
When behavior repeats, it usually means the consequences are not strong enough to deter it.
NTSA, what concrete measures are being taken to ensure passengers are not exposed to such risks again?
Public transport exists to move people safely, not to endanger their lives.

@georgediano From today, I will watch you keenly. No way you are not a state project

Meet Edwin Sifuna’s better half, Didi Wamukoya; the woman who prefers peace and quiet while her husband handles political firestorms. Didi is the daughter of former Hon. Wamukoya, who once served in the Ministry of Lands, and unlike Sifuna whose natural habitat is a microphone and a press conference, Didi keeps a low profile and has little interest in political theatrics.
Professionally, she’s a lawyer, an author & an Environmentalist. She recently graduated from the school of firearms handling proving that brains are part of the package, and she’s known for a conservative, private lifestyle.
No drama, no trending hashtags, no Twitter wars. In short, while Sifuna battles it out in the political ring, Didi minds her business, secures her bag, and lets silence do the talking because balance is important in marriage. But still, you'll see daughter of Agrippina still salivating on Sifuna because naturally, most Kenyan women are loose, lazy & prostitutes in nature.

@Kama36378Kamau @georgediano Nobody is supporting gachagua, we are talking about the message, not the messenger
English

@georgediano It's an irony how bloggers like you call people idiots for supporting William Ruto and you support Gachagua ..
Who's more idioted ?
English

We are indeed heading to a very interesting time ahead. I've seen many people from my beloved Kalenjin community expressing admiration for Rigathi Gachagua’s utterances while addressing Kalenjin media. According to many, they claim Riggy G Spoke nothing but the bitter truth. It was an eye opening engagement for the Kalenjin community at large.
They've come to realize that they're more focused on "Mtu wetu syndrome" more than developments. Riggy asked a very simple question: “point any single development Ruto has brought to the kalenjin community”. In fact, coffee & tea farmers from south & North-Rift are the lowest paid compared to other regions.
Kipsigis who are Only the voting machines to president Ruto have started ululating like broken sayona woofer claiming that Kipchirchir only visits South-Rift for church services or to launch School gates.
My kalenjin brothers, The truth is always bitter but the truth must be told whether you love it or not. Kipsigis Especially those who lived in mau voted for him to the last man in exchange for protection.
He promised to address the Mau issue once he becomes the president, only for him to chase them away 1 year in office. They're now anguishing in abject poverty. Mtu wetu syndrome will never benefit anyone & that's where kiuks normally draw the line.
They vote for someone who will bring developments, I won't be surprised to see Kimani Ichungwa being reelected despite the backlash. This coming election, people should vote not because of the so called proverb “matin kosamis murian Kobo kot nebo.”
We don't want this nonsense again,, No development, No votes. Simboo! Take this to the bank, the moment our (nenyon) leaves that seat, we will remain in dilemma forever and ever.
I've Oscar Sudi has come out to spew Nonsense, he now claims that Mandagor & Cheruyot are the ones who coached Gachagua on what to say in the interview. All this because Gachagua hit the nail on the head.
Mambo inazidi kuenda sege mnege, and Sudi knows his goose is cooked over there in Kapseret. Anyway, for now, let's continue singing “Nenyun serkaliit” before gnashing of teeth. Boo gaa Kipchirchir. Kama kawa sisi walala hoii hatuna maoni, Letu Jicho tu.👀

@EricLatiff @HusseinMohamedg I suggest Mr Eric, you go to the ground and prove to these clowns "releasing"billions that it has not reached the ground.
English

My brother, my problem is neither that a meeting was held nor that the said issues were discussed.
It’s in the communication, which suggests that the meeting was tone deaf to the current emergency in Mandera county.
I would have expected the brief to indicate that the meeting acknowledged the current dire situation, discussed the progress and then pivoted to strategies and programs that will mitigate future crises.
As it stands, the update by @WilliamsRuto doesn’t show care about risk of death, but rather a focus on brick, mortar and land during an ongoing drought.
Tone deaf.
Aside from that, I really wish government comms could talk about people more than it speaks about money.
Mentioning how many people are receiving daily, regular food rations; how many heads of livestock have been off-taken from farmers and saved from death; how many children are in school uninterrupted because they are being fed at school…..is much more human than speaking about how much money has been released without accounting for the impact it’s having to communities.
English

Ndugu, it is inherent, hence the point on large-scale food production through irrigation as the long-term, permanent solution.
Priority?
Priority is not merely discussing drought in meetings (though Mandera leaders expressed satisfaction with mitigation efforts so far). Priority is decisive action on the ground, which is exactly what the Government is doing.
Over the past two months, the Government has repeatedly announced and implemented drought mitigation measures.
So far, the Government has committed KSh 10.1 billion, including KSh 6 billion in January 2026 to sustain emergency interventions and an additional KSh 4.1 billion approved by Cabinet in February, as communicated via last week’s Cabinet despatch.
These actions, coordinated under the Office of the Deputy President and the State Department for Special Programmes, include food assistance, emergency water trucking, borehole rehabilitation, Hunger Safety Net cash transfers, health and nutrition surveillance, and livestock and livelihood protection across the most affected counties.
Drought response is ongoing, and mitigation measures are clearly outlined.
I’m trying to understand your problem, ndugu.
Eric Latiff@EricLatiff
The President has met with Mandera leadership. In his own reporting of the meeting, the President doesn’t mention whether they spoke about the current life-threatening drought where residents are facing acute food shortage and how the National and County governments are coordinating life-saving response. Instead, the leaders tell us they prioritized talk about elec, roads, dams. All legit, don’t get me wrong, but playing anything on higher priority than an ongoing acute hunger is my problem.

I usually don’t address nonsense, but today I’ll make an exception and give you the airtime you’re clearly begging for.
The reason Raila Odinga never became president became obvious long ago he had moles like you from within. You people didn’t just disagree with Baba, you practically ate Baba to the grave. That’s not loyalty; that’s sabotage dressed as support.
It’s amusing that you’ve now admitted Edwin Sifuna is pulling the kind of crowds Baba used to. And if crowds supposedly don’t matter, why are you busy paying people to attend rallies or did you suspend your brain indefinitely?
The first stage of grief is denial, and you are living proof. You’re still pretending the Oburu Odinga faction has life support when the people have clearly shifted.
But honestly, if I were you, I’d focus less on political gymnastics and more on satisfying my wife because your arguments aren’t satisfying anyone.
Robert ALAI, HSC@RobertAlai
Don’t scare us with crowds. Raila gave us the biggest crowds for 5 elections. If crowds made anyone President, Raila would be President 5 times. Mtajua hamjui!
