MLB Play #1 (6/17) ⚾️ 10 likes for play #2! ❤️🍻 Brandon Marsh O 1.5 Hits+Runs+RBIs (Score -130) #RingTheBell Marsh has been hitting the ball well in this series vs the Marlins and he is over this line in both games. He is over this line in 60% of games overall and has a .328 average in his L15. Yesterday he got moved to lead off and then was backed by Harper and Schwarber. He has been typically batting in the 4 spot but either way he is in a great situation in front of or behind two other LHB who can get on base. He gets a matchup against Alcantara who struggles vs LHB with a .269 BAA vs them this season. Marsh has a .339 avg vs RHP. This Phillies lineup has also seen Alcantara and has had success vs him. Turner, Schwarber, Harper, Marsh, and Bohm all have .250 career averages or higher vs him (Marsh has a .250 in 24 PA) in at least 24 PA. That is a solid sample size. If Marsh can get a hit he should have plenty of Run and RBI chances. Alcantara is in the 27th percentile in xBA and 55th percentile in xERA. He can be hit. He also sees a super long leash so the Phillies and especially the top of the order should get 3 cracks at him. Alcantara primarily throws the Changeup, Fastball, Sinker, and Cutter to LHB. This is how Marsh fares vs those pitches: Changeup: .246 xBA / .248 xwOBA Fastball: .335 xBA / .391 xwOBA Sinker: .368 xBA / .446 xwOBA Cutter: .400 xBA / .423 xwOBA Marsh mashes the majority of his pitch mix and I think he can find more success here again. He has also just had a ton of success against the Marlins in general with a hit in 13/14 games vs them.
