FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE March 26, 2026 30 Current Republican Texas Legislators Endorse Sen. John Cornyn for Re-Election to the U.S. Senate Leaders Cite His Strong Economic Record and Support for Texas Values AUSTIN, TX — Today, the Texans for Senator John Cornyn campaign announced 30 prominent Texas legislative leaders from across the state who joined together to endorse him for re-election over his challenger, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton. Some of the key endorsements include U.S. Representative Randy Weber (R-TX) and current State Representatives Matt Shaheen (R-Plano), and Terry Wilson(R-Georgetown). “I’m honored to have the endorsement of many longtime friends in Texas politics, who I have gotten to know during our time in office and with whom I’ve been proud to work,” said Sen. Cornyn. “I’ve always worked hard to earn the trust of our elected officials, so we can roll up our sleeves and work together for the betterment of all Texans. I look forward to continuing our important work together upon my re-election to the United States Senate.” The full list of Texas Republican legislative endorsers are: ● Nathaniel Moran, U.S. Representative (R-TX) ● Randy Weber, U.S. Representative (R-TX) ● Roger Williams, U.S. Representative (R-TX) ● Jake Ellzey, U.S. Representative (R-TX)* ● Craig Goldman, U.S. Representative (R-TX)* ● Michael McCaul, U.S. Representative (R-TX)* ● Pete Sessions, U.S. Representative (R-TX)* ● Charles Perry, Texas State Senator (R-Lubbock) ● Robert Nichols, Texas State Senator (R-Jacksonville)* ● Jeff Barry, Texas State Representative (R-Pearland) ● Brad Buckley, Texas State Representative (R-Salado) ● Giovanni Capriglione, Texas State Representative (R-Southlake)* ● Angie Chen Button, Texas State Representative (R-Garland) ● Drew Darby, Texas State Representative (R-San Angelo)* ● Mano DeAyala, Texas State Representative (R-Houston) ● Charlie Geren, Texas State Representative (R-Fort Worth)* ● Sam Harless, Texas State Representative (R-Spring) ● Cody Harris, Texas State Representative (R-Palestine) ● Ken King, Texas State Representative (R-Canadian) ● Brooks Landgraf, Texas State Representative (R-Odessa)* ● Jeff Leach, Texas State Representative (R-Plano) ● Janie Lopez, Texas State Representative (R-San Benito) ● Morgan Meyer, Texas State Representative (R-University Park) ● Candy Noble, Texas State Representative (R-Lucas) ● Dade Phelan, Texas State Representative (R-Beaumont) ● Matt Shaheen, Texas State Representative (R-Plano) ● Carl H. I’m proud to support Sen. Cornyn for re-election because he will continue fighting to protect our energy producers and keep Texas leading the way.” “As someone with a Democrat challenger this November, I understand how vital it is that John Cornyn be our US Senate nominee, otherwise election losses for Republicans could be disastrous. Sen. Cornyn has never lost an election, and with him at the top of the ballot, he will defeat James Talarico and lift up Republicans in down-ballot races,” said State Rep. Shaheen. “Cornyn has continuously fought for priorities Republicans care about, like being an original co-sponsor of the SAVE Act to protect the sanctity of our elections. He has also been a champion for school choice, fighting to empower parents and expand opportunities for Texas students to succeed. I’m proud to support Sen. Cornyn for re-election because he has shown us time and again that he will fight for Texas values.” “Throughout his career, Senator John Cornyn has been a steady advocate for our veterans and active-duty military, ensuring those who serve our country receive the support and respect they deserve,” said State Rep. Wilson. “His commitment to strong national defense and standing by those in uniform reflects the very best of Texas values. I’m proud to support Sen. Cornyn for re-election because he has consistently upheld tried-and-true conservative principles and delivered for our state and nation.” To join more than 500 current and former elected officials, add your name to the growing list of endorsers of Sen. Democrats would rather see you suffer in order to keep from deporting illegal aliens... Republicans in the Senate would rather see you suffer than to get rid of a self imposed rule that forces them to give in to the party that you worked so hard to defeat.

No where in the Constitution does it say that a president's pardon power starts and stops at the federal level. It is my belief that a president can, in fact, pardon state level crimes as well. Think in the life and circumstances of the time... if the president was head of the government at that time, and a state wanted to bring charges against someone in the government (federal), why would the president NOT be able to pardon that person? Don't bother arguing with me on this... we make "precedent" for far less serious issues such as this. If I'm a Justice on the Supreme Court, there's no way I say the president's pardon power doesn't extend to states as well. ☺️

...and yes, Donald Trump should absolutely pardon Derek Chauvin. That man was doing his job. And they crucified him for it.

The Tx Board of Pardon and Parole is recommending 'posthumously' a pardon for George Floyd. Nothing against Mr Floyd... But how does he get a recommendation for a pardon and I get denied mine and told 'you can reapply and try again in 2 years if you'd like'? 👇🏽

Should someone not step up now and get themselves known to the public?
Mister Dan@MisterDan239491

@MoniqueWorthy Yeah, it's too soon to ask. His current term ends in 2028, so he's not at risk of being challenged this fall. However, Senate Republicans (if they had a spine) could remove him from his leadership position today, but so far, none of the Senators I have contacted have stepped-up.

Media keeps saying that "Americans are wondering how long this may last?"... And my ass sitting here like "no, tf im not. Im wondering how much better off the world will be once we finish the damn job"... You cant rush greatness. I could give a shit less how long it lasts cuz at the end of the day we aint dealing with the same mfks that's been getting us into wars in the past. We dealing with the DEPARTMENT OF WAR. Not the department of defense.

Short term pain for long term gain is better than sitting back waiting for the mfks to get nukes and ICBMs and then we lose even more trying to take them out then.

@MoniqueWorthy I think people have forgot how many Americans have been killed by Iran for several decades now. Oil tankers are constantly being struck, and they have shot at our military bases and ships constantly.
