@Malachians Let's give a lad and his mate in front of the TV, who"ve never played football, decide which players, who've committed their lives to a sport they love and worked their arses off to get ro the top, who should play in the top tier of European football. Sounds like a class idea!

Stuart Atwell was absolutely petrified of the media response if he gave Utd a 2nd penalty and VAR wanted to support their colleague on the field rather than give the right decision. The arrogance of officials is something that needs addressing, I understand it’s a hard job but they’re deciding games every week more than the two teams on the field.

In other words the referee can do whatever he wants & his mates sat in the VAR room will back him up regardless if the two offences are the same … VAR & poor referees are two cheeks of the same arsehole

It's always possible for two seemingly similar incidents to have opposite outcomes. On-field call carries weight. If a ref does not give the Amad pen that is supportable. Giving the Evanilson spot-kick is supportable too. That's the subjective laws and VAR for you.

A largely very poor game today decided by a set piece and a couple of great Bruno Fernandes through balls. Outside of those individual moments not much to look back on fondly. I can stomach these performances as long as we get top 5 AND hire a proper coach in the summer.
