@IslingtonBC @SarahLudford @RingGo_parking @UnaOHalloran I’ve been trying to confirm that RingGo take account of over 60yrs concessionary e-voucher visitor permits with both Islington Council and RingGo. Talk about passing the buck between each other but 3 emails and 4 requests to RingGo ends up in effectively ‘Talk to the other one’!

On the pensions-as-benefits row... A semi-regular reminder that over a lifetime, people born in 1956 will each receive on average £291,000 more from the welfare state than they paid in. Also, they expect a higher state pension that they paid to their own parents/grandparents.

@fredsirieix1 @DirectLine It’s hard not to think that general insurers are exploiting us poor punters. It seems that way. Transparency on premium cost would be interesting made up of following costs: Risk, Admin, Sale and PROFIT.

So @DirectLine following your extortionate quote and refusal to amend I shopped around. Got a new insurance £451 cheaper. Terrible customer service. I have been with you for years with no claims. Anyway thanks for nothing 👍🏻

@RedJamesH Same here, Highway Ins (sub of LV) who now have my business, to no effect. Reckon Ad perhaps had a vendetta against campervans or me for some reason they would not explain.

@MontLloyd I told them I’d done a direct comparison with lv.com. They couldn’t validate my LV quote, they rely on searches via comparison sites.

“Admiral Insurance hiked motor insurance prices by 20% during the first half of the year in response to high inflation and repair costs.” Just got renewal, no additional risk and no claims - WHACKING 57.6% increase!!!!!! On ringing reduced to 41.6% and 45% for my son. Explain…

@RedJamesH Well your negotiation skills surpassed mine - it summed up as “As your so loyal and have been with us for so many years we’ll go from 57% increase to 41% even if you’ve had no claims and maintain a 10yr NCB”

@MontLloyd I negotiated mine back to almost zero increase.
