@DarrellSto67629 I’d say it’s in the everyday lived experience of Albertans, by far the wealthiest province in Canada. That probably why the polls tilt heavily to staying in Canada even acknowledging the problems you mention.

For every Ottawa commentator who spent the week calling Danielle Smith a separatist, she just spent the last couple hours passionately and intelligently defending Alberta’s place in Canada to thousands of Albertans on a telephone town hall. Danielle has been clear: Alberta can work in Canada. A little less elitist scorn from the East would help.

Describe what an independent Alberta would do about a military, Old Age Security, Indigenous relations, foreign affairs etc. Separatists owe Albertans clarity. It’s a big decision. Our family spent multiple summers in Alberta. I've lived in Alberta, and got my start in politics there. It's a place where you can make things happen. It should stay that way. Better late than never. Conestoga was by far the worst abuser of the Trudeau era student visa scam. Industrial scale corruption. People should go to jail over this.
