The joy and excitement I felt after watching this video is pure ecstasy. Finally, someone dragged that termagant into line, and Sam George just served her a masterclass. Ever since Abena Osei-Asare grabbed the co-chair seat on the Public Accounts Committee, she has turned Ghana’s most important accountability platform into her personal NPP hit squad. It is the same kind of bullying and vindictive playbook deployed in the ministerial vetting by the disgraced Afenyo-Markin, weaponising every sitting to harass and humiliate people they want to settle scores with. Instead of using her position to expose the looting, the shameless corruption, and the public funds disappearing while ordinary Ghanaians slave abroad just to survive, she spends her time bullying and settling cheap political scores. That is not oversight. That is straight-up thuggery. We all saw the real Abena when she verbally flogged the DVLA CEO for the simple crime of asking for clarification on a question she had already asked. Then she turned around and berated her own committee colleague, Edem Agbana, a fellow Member of Parliament, just for daring to dig deeper. Arrogant, rude, and downright disgusting behaviour from someone who is supposed to lead. So yes, I am thrilled Sam George refused to take her nonsense and shoved that same bullying energy right back down her throat. We did not Advocate for Positive Action to create bullies. Who does Abena think she is? Margaret Thatcher ? Angela Merkel or Kemi Badenoch ?😒 That sudden, deflated, mellow little voice at the end of the clip says it all. The bully finally learnt her lesson, the hard way.

Heated Moment at PAC: “You are being unruly… you can’t tell me that, this is our committee” — Sam George and Abena Osei-Asare lock horns in a tense exchange over poor network service and delays in fixing the challenge. #JoyNews

Maybe is because of you that makes @EcobankGhanaPLC Services good, for me, both Ecobank and GT bank Services are poor, especially Ecobank one will go there and waste the whole day over there. Just to go do inquiry you have to join the queue with those going to make payment or withdrawal 😅

I bank personally with GT bank; and Merton & Everett LLP with Ecobank. I also have other company accounts with GT. One thing I don’t understand is how we can just log into our Ecobank internet banking platform and move money from our dollar account into our cedis. The dollar converts on the platform; and there is no need to be calling relationship managers for every little transaction. How is that hard for GT Bank to do?

@eddie_wrt Tithes is for Levites, widows and the poor. Clearly stated in the book of Deuteronomy. Ghanaians are waking up. You pastors are not Levites. The woman is right. There's no curse coming to her.

“I was praying for her because she has brought trouble for herself and her children by telling men of God that ‘you are all thieves.’” - Sam Korankye Ankrah, Apostle General of Royalhouse Chapel International, reacting to a viral video in which a member of the Methodist Church Ghana accused church leaders of being thieves.

@FamilyguyKwadwo @Kevdev101 @SIKAOFFICIAL1 There's no record of the early apostles receiving tithes in the new testament. Even in the old testament, tithe was meant for the widows, poor and the Levites. The modern version of tithes has been skewed to benefits clergy. I'm glad Ghanaians are waking up to church doctrines.

@GhanaBlackstars So Jordan Ayew and the entire technical team don't realize the Germans have figured the corner kick hand gestures. When he lift his two hands, it means he is crossing to the far post. Even EPL players change gestures. We don't learn kraa oh. Useless team

This is very disrespectful, and we see this kind of thing on the timeline far too often. The moment someone shares an opinion that others disagree with, the default reaction is to assume they are being paid. It is as if people cannot think for themselves, as if every view must be sponsored or influenced by money. That’s just ludicrous. Yes, we are humans. Humans build relationships. We admire certain players. We develop perspectives shaped by experience and proximity to those players. That does not automatically mean someone is on a payroll. Out of the thousands of Ghanaian footballers, your username reflects your favourite six. No one has suggested they are paying you. You use your platform to advocate for players you believe in, and it would be unfair for anyone to claim you are doing so because you are being paid. Yet when someone else does the same, the immediate conclusion is that money must be involved. That double standard is not right. After years of independent journalism, both in Ghana and in the UK, do you honestly think it is fair to accuse @iamrahmanosman of being paid simply because he has projected Andre, one of Ghana’s greatest footballers, in a positive light? We need to be more mindful on social media. There is a real life beyond this platform. Let’s disagree if we must, but let’s do it with respect.

Saiss, key part of the team, as recent as Afcon until he got injured, retires, about 4 months to the World Cup. But Ogyam is busily hustling in the Netherlands, paying Rahman and the rest, to at all cost go to a World Cup he knows he will just be there to add to his records

The confidence is great buh we need to acknowledge that the Venezuelan president was not a duly elected president. His own people are rejoicing his arrest and in the in first place, he dared Trump to come for him. For diplomatic reasons, it’s great Ghana issues a stance buh in the grand scheme of things, this is a commendable move. Maduro had to go and someone had to step in for that to happen. Other suspicions on invasion backed by oil greed etc would be determined later. For now, the tyrant that runs over his own people with armoured vehicle, ships contraband and cociane into the US and stifles growth and progression in Venezuela is no more and that’s a huge fear for the people.

Former Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene🇺🇸
I’ve served on the Homeland Security Committee for the past three years. I’m 100% for strong safe secure borders and stopping narco terrorists and cartels from trafficking deadly drugs and human trafficking into America. Fentanyl is responsible for over 70% of U.S. drug overdose deaths and fentanyl comes from Mexican cartels made with chemical precursors from China and trafficked across the U.S. Mexico border. Mexican cartels are primarily and overwhelmingly responsible for killing Americans with deadly drugs. If U.S. military action and regime change in Venezuela was really about saving American lives from deadly drugs then why hasn’t the Trump admin taken action against Mexican cartels? And if prosecuting narco terrorists is a high priority then why did President Trump pardon the former Honduran President Juan Orlando Hernandez who was convicted and sentenced for 45 years for trafficking hundreds of tons of cocaine into America? Ironically cocaine is the same drug that Venezuela primarily traffics into the U.S. The next obvious observation is that by removing Maduro this is a clear move for control over Venezuelan oil supplies that will ensure stability for the next obvious regime change war in Iran. And of course why is it ok for America to militarily invade, bomb, and arrest a foreign leader but Russia is evil for invading Ukraine and China is bad for aggression against Taiwan? Is it only ok if we do it? (I’m not endorsing Russia or China) Regime change, funding foreign wars, and American’s tax dollars being consistently funneled to foreign causes, foreigners both home and abroad, and foreign governments while Americans are consistently facing increasing cost of living, housing, healthcare, and learn about scams and fraud of their tax dollars is what has most Americans enraged. Especially the younger generations. Boomers and half of Gen X will cheer on neocon wars and talking points, but the other half of Gen X and majority on down see through it and hate it. Americans disgust with our own government’s never ending military aggression and support of foreign wars is justified because we are forced to pay for it and both parties, Republicans and Democrats, always keep the Washington military machine funded and going. This is what many in MAGA thought they voted to end. Boy were we wrong. As the baby boomers slip away both in votes and power, the electoral future will be decided for candidates that focus on American economic populism and promising prosperity for Americans only. As of right now, neither party is offering the solution.
