A 19-year-old motorist was arrested by the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department after allegedly driving a grey Audi at 214 km/h in a 100 km/h zone on the R21 freeway near Boksburg on Friday afternoon. Officers from the High-Speed Unit recorded the speed during enforcement operations and arrested the teenager for speeding, with an alternative charge of reckless and negligent driving. He was detained at Boksburg North Police Station and is expected to appear in the Boksburg Magistrate’s Court soon.

Asanda you either have a short memory or you’re a liar. Lumka was Bathabile Dlamini’s spokesperson during the Net 1 Cash Payment scandal where Bathabile extended a contract that was set aside by the Con Court. I remember an interview with Xolani Gwala where Lumka was belligerent!
Asanda Magaqa 🇿🇦@asandamagaqa

The record shows Lumka went above & beyond the call of duty as a "mere" Spokesperson. She was a good public servant. Today she's the subject of a vindictive statement tearing apart her 30+ professional years. I think she would've gone quietly had she been afforded a dignified exit. Now here we are.

If Chief Justice Mandisa Maya fails to deliver a Phalaphala judgement within a month as per her letter dated 08 April 2026 responding to CIC Julius Malema. — She must know; 1. She lied under oath and as EFF we will open a criminal case for perjury. 2. Her actions will be in breach of judicial integrity. 3. We will write Judicial Service Commission (JSC) to investigate her actions and demand her removal from office for gross misconduct. Time is ticking!

@MontjaneK @daddyhope It has never happened that one country can find you guilty, then you go serve back home. You serve where you offended.

Police in Ivory Park stopped a man carrying a gun with no serial number and no paperwork to back it up. He was taken into custody on the spot, and officers were still processing the scene when a 20-year-old woman showed up unannounced. She didn't come to ask questions or make a statement. Instead, she pulled out R4,600 in cash and made it clear the money was for the officers to let the man walk free right then and there. The cops didn't take the cash. They added a bribery charge to the pile and locked her up alongside the man she was trying to free. Both are now facing separate criminal counts one for the weapon, one for trying to buy a different outcome. The station commander confirmed the arrests without fanfare. Just another day where a bad situation got worse because someone tried to shortcut the law with an envelope full of notes.

This country & society benefits NOTHING with Malema in prison. NOTHING! Not on those charges! His voice is crucial right inside Parliament. We can’t give way to liberal right-wing forces to dominate. AfriForum must NOT WIN! Ngxa!
