🌑✨ Happy New Lunar Year 2026 ✨🌑 As we step into a new year, we pause in gratitude and wonder. MoonMars Museum — the first museum on the Moon — was founded by two women together with their communities, @paladinpunks & @VAVortex, and became a reality in 2025 at Mare Crisium, redefining what art, memory, and human legacy can be. This first lunar exhibition, within the amazing metaverse designed by meta-architect 0xWolfgang on @oncyber, carries the voices of the global art community: The first @cryptopunks pair on the Moon, Nest by @MaryKuiper13 (previously exhibited on the International Space Station), the original blueprints of Paul van Hoeydonck’s Fallen Astronaut, alongside 3D art, photography, digital works, sculpture, pixel art — and even a children’s book. 🎇In 2026, we continue our journey to the lunar South Pole — the Nobile Region. We are honored to bring @PlanckWallFella’s animation to the Moon, traveling on the rover in the @goLifeShip Pyramid, with tech partners @SPhotonix and PrintOptix. Also represented aboard @astrobotic Griffin -1 lunar lander through our partnership with Bruce Ha and the revolutionary Permanent Archive @Nano_Fiche. To all artists, collaborators, communities, partners, friends, and fellow moonwalkers — thank you. Deepest Thanks to @SpaceX @FireflySpace @goLifeShip #artonthemoon #spaceart #moonmars The Mare Crisium Collection consists of 47 artworks by artists and communities coming together around the theme DNA of Humanity. 47 symbolizes the number of human chromosomes, including one extra chromosome, to represent the diversity of humankind. Each artwork is eternalized on a nickel layer using NanoFiche technology, an analogue archival medium capable of preserving microscopic images in metal for millennia. @Nano_Fiche was invented by technologist Bruce Ha, enabling art and memory to endure beyond time and planet. Among the 47 artists is Paul van Hoeydonck - who placed the very first artwork on the Moon in 1971 - establishing a direct lineage from humanity’s first lunar artwork to its first lunar museum. The collection also includes the first DNA drawings by Odile and Francis Crick, a V1/V2 @cryptopunks pair, and the actual lunar museum architecture designed by renowned meta-architect 0xWolfgang. Alongside these historic milestones, the collection carries the voices of communities and artists from around the world - expanding humanity’s cultural presence beyond Earth and into the vast space. We dropped a SONG on the Moon surface. A year ago the "Hi Song" by the MiDiPunkz successfully landed on the moon together with 46 other art projects. The Falcon9 rocket took of from Kennedy Space Center in January by SpaceX and touched the face of the moon in March. A few hectic days followed when all kinds of media wanted to talk about this historic event. Here's a snippet from Swedish National TV. Thanks to @moonmars for making this possible!
