If you spread hate, don't complain when people do the same to you 👁

9 years ago today, Kendrick Lamar dropped "The Heart Part 4" 🫀 The track featured a string of subliminal disses, and officially kicked off the rollout for 'DAMN.' 💿 "Y'all got 'til April the 7th to get y'all sh*t together"

If rolls were reversed and Kendrick lost… the industry would’ve been like “I told you so”. If we go back to before Push ups happened, almost everybody media members and rappers picked Drake to win this battle. Like Kendrick might have some bars but it wouldn’t have been enough to stop Drake. They even said that euphoria was cool but it didn’t get Drake outta here. Then when Kendrick hit him with not like us it was over and some niggas was shocked that Kendrick made a bop diss record.

J. Cole says he found it "disgusting" how people tried to tear down Drake, while also being proud of Kendrick Lamar and the moment he had: "The world became like politics, you either Democrat or Republican. You either Kendrick, or you Drake." "I was disgusted both ways, damn near." "The 'out of hand' that to me is disgusting, how people try to use that opportunity to show how they really felt about Drake the whole time, or just to pile on and tear this dude down and create a narrative as if he's not great. It was a whole campaign." (via Talk With Flee)

Who’s the best rapper of the 2020’s so far? I’m talking impact, influence, discography, the whole deal

We are watching in real time two half whites try to rewrite the rules of Hip Hop & battle culture. One deleted their diss & the other filed a lawsuit after dissing. While the victor is expected to not have a victory lap or be praised. This y’all Hip Hop? Not mine!

I wish he would just stop. You’re damaging your own reputation Jermaine!
