Today, I had the honor of celebrating the graduates of New York's Correction Academy at Queens College. This is a role — and a city — that asks a great deal of New York's Boldest. On Monday, these graduates will step into the field, where they will meet New Yorkers at some of the most difficult moments in their lives. City Hall stands with them in the work that lies ahead. Together, we are working toward a correction system rooted in dignity, real care and accountability — one that supports officers, protects those in custody, and moves us closer to a safer, more just New York for everyone.
