By failing to ensure accessibility, Substack is excluding an entire group of readers and undermining its own credibility. Accessibility is not optional. Blind readers deserve full access to the content published on this platform.

Blind readers are being blocked from accessing articles they intentionally clicked on. That is not a minor issue; it is active exclusion. Substack positions itself as a platform for independent journalists and public-interest writing.

As a blind journalist publishing on @substack, I expect blind readers to be able to access my work—especially when the article itself is about accessibility and systemic exclusion. Right now, Substack is not reliably screen-reader accessible.

Think i just stubbled across the best decision i could make in life but im terrified to take it because it would mean financial ruin for six years. But im very tempted. - 🐾

All that i talked to her about was a heart condition that i supposedly grew out of. It’s one that doesn’t even lessen my lifespan. - 🐾

Oh how much i would love to have been born to a family that isn’t completely ableist and dehumanising. - 🐾

My mom just told me she thinks I’m gonna die soon… Im 21. Sure i might be disabled but i dont have any terminal illnesses. And to make it worse she also wants to drag me to heaven. Im not Christian and haven’t been for 7 years. I feel disgusted this is how my mom treats me-🐾

Resource for those who cant get an in person trainer at the moment but still need the lessons. Eventually i will also go over braille and my experience living in a state with little support for blind people (at least in my specific area) let me know if this is something you want
