@Yoshiware2 they are clearly ignoring (or probably never bothered watching the EA trailer to find out), that the "Whale" they keep thinking is a Kyogre (it isn't, jesus christ...) was there even back in 2024. It was just not added until now, likely due to the importance it has.

The Palworld stuff brings up a complaint I have with Pokemon now that didn't use to exist and its only because of the fans. Pokemon are INTENTIONALLY designed to be just generic enough that they can be easily recognizable. This is why people actually can remember almost every pokemon name if they grew up with them, they were intentionally designed to be looked at as normal animals. This is why so many other monster catchers run into the "that's a Pokemon" problem. Its not because their design "borrows" too much from Pokemon, its because Pokemon is so actually generic that it can be applied to anything. There's a reason most people can instantly recognize what animal pokemon is supposed to be without much thought. And I know a bunch of Poke simps are gonna claim this isn't true but this stuff was outlined in their original design rules for making new pokemon.

@kerry_comcgrl77 I’m neither, especially considering that I know which games are worth my time. Meaning I’d easily take SV and Z-A over Legends Arceus, and never had interest in buying New Snap, that PMD remake, or Detective Pikachu 2. That said, all that easily over Palworld.

So today I learned there are 2 types of Pokémon fans. 1) The kind who will play any game as long as Pokémon is on the title and denounce any that doesn’t 2) The other who always dreamed of a game where they could be immersed in the world, hunt Pokémon, survive in the wild, fight enemies, and build bases.
