@ElizabethFarah Trump's Senior Policy Advisor for Artificial Intelligence (Sriram Krishnan) has only a bachelor's degree from SRM in India. Ranked #601 in the world for Computer Science skills. Where's the AI policy?

INDIA RECEIVED ~$272 BILLION IN REMITTANCES THE LAST TWO YEARS. THE US IS THE #1 SENDING COUNTRY. Come here on visa. Send the money out of our economy. Our citizens get laid off. Why does it seem no one in Washington is paying attention?

@kausmickey Indians come to American schools because we excel. Maybe it’s time to stock them with some DEI. Oh, and maybe the Rubio green card rule needs a provision to reapply.

@pushpendrakum "When people invest 10–20 years of their lives in a country, it’s reasonable to expect a fair and predictable immigration process." Uh, no. Those people made WRITTEN petitions to stay here on TEMPORARY visas, with end dates. No one promised them they could stay permanently.

Nobody is arguing that a temporary visa should automatically become permanent. The issue is that many skilled immigrants followed every rule, paid taxes for years, built companies, created jobs, and contributed to the economy with the understanding that a legal path to permanent residency existed. When people invest 10–20 years of their lives in a country, it’s reasonable to expect a fair and predictable immigration process. A nation can enforce its laws while still valuing the people who help build its future.
Wall Street Mav@WallStreetMav

A temporary visa is a student visa, H1-B visa, tourism vacation visa, seasonal worker visa, refugee visa ... It is not a "build my new life in the USA forever" visa. It is a temporary visa with an end date. Nobody should be upset when you don't get to stay forever.

@soumitrashukla9 Our Green Card rules are being changed for ALL races, not just yours. And you call that "anti-Indian hate". The problem is truly "rotten souls" responsible for the mass exodus: millions of people are desperately trying to escape your homeland.

The amount of anti-Indian hate on this platform is truly sickening. People need to stop worrying about jobs being "stolen" and look deeper within as to why they have such rotten souls to wish the worst on others.

A new federal policy will require most green card applicants to leave the U.S. and apply at a consulate abroad, ending a decades-old process that allowed most applicants to apply from within the country. Officials may consider exceptions for people facing “extraordinary circumstances.” Full story: ow.ly/Cyj950Z4cWg

@visionergeo Some stupid Indian reporter asked Marco about American saying “racist remarks” about Indians. Marco asked him who was saying that, and the dense reporter couldn't identify one such American. twitter.com/MooreGovernor/…
Lurch Addams@MooreGovernor

Marci Rubio deftly managed a foolish Indian reporter (@WION) that falsely accused the USA of making "racist comments" about Indians. The reporter couldn't provide one example of any such comment. LOL.

🇺🇸🇮🇳 Secretary of State Marco Rubio once again is questioned about racism against Indians: Reporter: What did you make of the question you got yesterday on racist comments about India? Rubio: I don't know who he was talking about, but I assumed he was talking about people posting stuff online. I asked him specifically, "Can you tell me what you're talking about and who you're talking about?" He didn't have a specific example. Reporter: There was something reposted by Trump where he referred to India as a "hellhole." Rubio: Well, I gave him a chance to tell me that. That's not what he said. Trump loves India... I gave that reporter a chance to tell me who he was referring to and he didn't. So I assumed he was talking about random voices online. People say stupid stuff all the time on social media in every country in the world, unfortunately.

📑 USCIS Tightens Green Card Rules ⚖️ USCIS has announced that Adjustment of Status applications for permanent residency will now be approved only in “extraordinary circumstances” 🛂⚠️. The move could impact many immigrants, including H-1B workers and Indians waiting in employment-based green card backlogs 🇮🇳💼, as more applicants may be required to complete processing outside the U.S. ✈️📋. 📖 Read more at: 🔗 newsindiatimes.com/u-s-citizenshi… #USCIS #GreenCard #H1B #Immigration #USVisa #IndianDiaspora #AdjustmentOfStatus #VisaNews #UnitedStates #NewsIndiaTimes

@Lam_mour @WallStreetMav Most H-1b workers are "not highly skilled workers". Most are quasi-educated workers imported simply because they're cheaper than Americans.

@WallStreetMav You sound like a person who didn't try hiring. Of course there is a shortage of highly skilled workers, and the fact that people were abusing the system by hiring foreigners to work at 7-Eleven doesn't change that.

There is ZERO shortage of skilled workers in the USA. We have zero need to import anyone for any sector of the economy. It is all propaganda to bring in cheaper workers only. The only exception I would make is for the investor visa. Founders of new companies.

America is losing its way when it compares illegal immigrants to legal ones. We can simultaneously believe that we need to control our borders while believing that we need to recruit the best people from the world to keep up with our adversaries. The best answers are always found in the center.

There is no one born in India yet to ask questions to Modiji The journalist’s question to Marco Rubio was basically: 👉 “What is the U.S. government doing about racism or discrimination faced by Indians in America?” Then another X user replied sarcastically: 👉 “Who is going to ask Modi about racism/discrimination by some Indians against Americans?” So the debate became: one side discussing alleged racism against Indians in the U.S., the other side arguing that Americans also face discrimination/exclusion from some Indians in areas like hiring, consulting networks, caste groups, etc. The post is political/social commentary — not an official policy discussion. Democracy means difficult questions should be allowed everywhere — in Washington, Delhi, or anywhere else. If racism against Indians in the U.S. can be discussed openly, then issues like caste discrimination, community-based hiring, labor exploitation, and internal divisions within Indian communities should also be open for discussion without outrage. Free speech cannot work only in one direction.
