Logically, you can't be both an immigrant and a non-immigrant.

And that’s why we need to end adjustment of status. A nonimmigrant visa, like the H-1B, should require the foreign worker to leave the US at the end of the visa duration. They can apply for, and wait for, a green card in their home country.
