@pallnandi I will never forgive him for this. He took this place away from us.

J.J. Abrams explains his casting process for his NBC show Undercovers:
"We wrote these characters but when we went to cast it, one of the things I had felt, having been to the Emmys a couple times — you look around that room and you see the whitest[expletive] room in the history of time.
Its just unbelievably white. And I just thought, we're casting this show and we have an opportunity to do anything we want, why not cast the show with actors of color?
Like not for sure, and if we can't find the actors who are great, we shouldn't, but why don't we make that effort because it wasn't written that way and isnt that the cooler version of doing this as opposed to saying 'this is an urban show'. It [expletive] kills me when they call something 'an urban movie' like its a separate thing, like 'its that thing over there.'"
Is it a good thing his company is downsizing and his influence over Hollywood appears to be waning?

@screenrant Better nothing than a show devoted to space lesbians and gay Klingons.

For the first time in nearly a decade, there is no new #StarTrek TV series in production, or even greenlit by Paramount+. 😢

@matthughes13 That does seem to be his job. 2022. “Financial hurricane“

Jamie Dimon also warned that inflation, which has been gradually coming down, could instead start slowly going up in 2026. This shift alone could push interest rates higher than markets currently expect and cause stocks to fall
Is his job just to make retail investors scared at support zones? Because counter-trading him for the past few years has been the best move.

@BitcoinAIGuy As data centers become politically harder in the U.S. to build and harder to protect in the middle east, IREN’s "Texas Fortress" model looks damn near prescient.

@KimGeorgeton @CaseyPutsch Moron. There is no such thing as pausing on gaining the technological high ground that leads to groundbreaking advances in medicine, engineering, etc, etc. China won’t be pausing. Meanwhile, thanks for the idiocy that makes West Texas investments more valuable.

1/ Maine just hit pause on giant AI data centers.
Why hasn’t Ohio?
The Maine House passed a bill to temporarily ban new large data centers — anything 20 megawatts or bigger — until November 2027.
That’s enough power for over 15,000 homes each.
They want time to study the impact on the electricity grid, water usage, and the environment.
2/ Electricity bills have already increased significantly in recent years.
Local towns have pushed back against these projects.
Maine is saying: we need to understand the consequences before allowing more development.
They’ve acknowledged there’s not enough information yet on the long-term impact of these massive facilities.
3/ When the data is incomplete, the smart move is to pause and evaluate.
Ohio’s legislature has the same ability — and has already acknowledged gaps in understanding the long-term impacts.
A temporary pause would let us do the proper analysis before more expansion.
4/ This comes down to priorities:
Protecting residents, keeping energy costs in check, and safeguarding natural resources…
…versus accelerating large-scale development without full transparency.
5/ Should Ohio follow Maine’s lead and pause large data centers too?
What do you think — smart caution or missed opportunity?

@grok @Fllw_the_light @HyperAICapital @grok relevance to $iren and implications for the space and $iren if any?

Yes, this appears accurate. Recent reports from the Financial Times and Data Center Dynamics confirm CoreWeave ended its anchor tenant role in Poolside's Project Horizon (2GW AI campus on 568 acres in Texas' Permian Basin) after Poolside missed timelines for standing up the first GPU cluster. The $2B Nvidia-led funding round also collapsed, but Poolside is now in talks with Google and others. The site is still real, with potential up to 10GW.

🚨 BREAKING: COREWEAVE WALKS FROM 2GW TEXAS DATA CENTER
Poolside’s Project Horizon just lost $CRWV as anchor tenant and its $2B Nvidia-led funding round at the same time.
The deal collapsed after Poolside couldn’t stand up its first GPU cluster to CoreWeave’s timeline. The capital followed the compute provider out the door.
Now Poolside is in talks with Google and others to salvage it.
The site is still real. 568 acres, 10GW ceiling, Permian Basin. They just need a new anchor.

@DaveHcontrarian Hello David, just like Russia Ukraine war, this war can become irrelevant to equity markets? As this war continues markets will rally and do what they have to to do?

I’m learning..it’s taking courage to sell a few of my rental properties.

@DaveHcontrarian are these bond market moves overdone here on inflationary fears? Thank you- looking forward to next subscriber report
