@LassStats @HockeyyInsiderr Matt Boldy has played almost no center this year, you are confusing 94 faceoffs with playing center. He goes right back to the wing

@Mooseclops @HockeyyInsiderr Hintz is 2nd this year per EDGE Thomas is still better than Suzuki and has more points usually Boldy has played Center statistically 94% of the time Peterson could 100% do that Suzuki isn’t even top 40 defensively this year per most stats. Get a grip.

@NHLlnsider67 @ivandemigoal They were, then teams caught on to the shit 1 dimensional PP. I guess changing our PP with 3-4 different threats and going to 4th best in the league is not good enough for you.

@LassStats @HockeyyInsiderr Better than lying Hintz not in the top 10 fastest skaters Thomas never hit 90 points ever, not on pace Boldy , has not played center at all this year Pettersson will not crack 50 points again You want to use another metric? Instead of just talking out your ass.

@LassStats @HockeyyInsiderr Shit argument and you know it. Only guy with a positive +/- and a above a point per game. High hockey iq and two way player. Stats don't lie. Suzuki 64 gp - 75pts +25 Hints 53 gp - 44 pts +16 Thomas 48 gp - 43 pts +9 Petterson 57 gp -38pts -18 Johnston 65 gp -71pts. -1

@LassStats @HockeyyInsiderr Hintz - hasn't cracked 70 points in 3 years, pace for 60 Thomas - debatable but Habs wanted him as a no. 2 Boldy - not a center Pettersson - 39 points and a minus 19, are u good? Johnston - 68 points and a minus 3 Suzuki - 74 points and a plus 25 while playing the PK

Norway, a country of just 5 million people, won about 50% more medals than the 342 million strong US. What’s more, the Netherlands, a country whose highest point is a 300 meter hill, was roughly on par with the US on medals. If this was your best ever, I'm not very impressed.

@thejacqinthebox As a Canadian this was simply a missed call , we dominated most of the game, missed our chances and Conor was an absolute beauty. That call wasn’t gonna change anything Congrats to USA, see you in 4 years and hopefully no more 3v3 for the future. Could have been an epic OT.

you can bang the hell out of your woman... for hours... just pounding away, making her cry out for dear god and who knows whatever else comes out her mouth, because women say all sorts of crazy stuff when they get like that, as she sits there on the edge, but just won't get past that threshold... when suddenly she explodes in loud screams as she screams out someone else's name... you did all that work... pounding and pounding for hours, but what put her over that edge is the name she screamed out... you may have outplayed that guy who she cried out for, but he won. doesn't matter how good you thought you were.

Can people please calm down on the Canada-USA hockey takes? As a dual citizen with 2 decades in each country, I can see both sides. In the space between the 2 creases, Canada outplayed the USA today, but Connor Hellebuyck had 1 of the best goaltending performances I've ever seen & won the USA the game. Let's appreciate the talent of both sides & not exaggerate or create an online flame war over this.

@robification @FrMatthewLC Did you forget your original statement? The US wasn’t “outplayed” which they were but they still won and that’s just hockey sometimes. Your goalies hot and can steal a game. Americans had a great tournament and happy for them.

i certainly watched the game and was scared as hell for the last 2 periods. i'm not saying team canada sucked or anything... but they did blow a 5 on 3 for like 100 seconds and completely whiffed on a couple of open nets. any woman will tell you... it's not how you start, it's how you finish. someone on X(don't remember who) pointed out that in 1776, the britts were the "better team". doesn't matter...

@robification @FrMatthewLC So the best team always wins? , man you clearly don’t watch sports or just being obtuse USA won and that’s what will remember but if you watched that game you watched 2 straight periods of the US leaving Conor out to dry and the man wiped their ass.

you see... shots on goal and checks and amount of time on possession is great and all, but those stats are nothing but tools to assist in the one thing that matters.... the number of times that puck gets in to that net canada was lucky to be in the gold medal game at all... and they played a great game. the score dictates the US played a better game - agreed, mainly due to Hellebuyck and a couple of acts of God, who was clearly cheering for the good guys in the future, people won't talk about shots on goal and time of possession. they'll talk about 2-1 US in OT in an exciting game

“Canada was the better team.” This might surprise you, but goalies and defensemen are also part of the team, and if they’re really good at their jobs, they can keep their team in it long enough for someone (like say … Jack Hughes) to score the game winning goal!

@robification @FrMatthewLC Normally we use metrics like 42-28 shots and 65% offensive zone pressure from Canada as well as double the scoring opportunities. Bottom line Canada had a better game but USA won and congrats to them. Anything can happen in a 1 and done and that’s why the playoffs are 7 games.

@FrMatthewLC define "outplayed"... because by my math, and correct me if i got it wrong, the US got that puck in the net 2 times while canada only did it once. as far as i know, none of the other stuff matters
