Trading is already extremely hard. Why make it even harder by journaling every single one of your trades? You're insane.

Medicine requires a mentor because you can't practice on real patients. In trading, your data is your mentor. I treat my trading exactly like software engineering; I don't need a guru, I need rigorous post-mortems to find leaks in my system. The market is the ultimate compiler, and if you systematically debug your execution using a trading journal, you build your own edge.

Tal cual. Para trabajar ese control mental, prueba estos dos 'hacks' en tu sistema: 1. Empiezas el día con una calificación 'A'. Tu trabajo no es ganarla, es no perderla. Cada trade fuera de tu plan te baja a B, C o F. 2. Imagina que empiezas la sesión con +$100 ya en tu cuenta. Si ya estuvieras verde, ¿forzarías esa entrada en $RIME? Seguramente no. Opera desde la disciplina de mantener la 'A', no desde la urgencia. ¡A romperla mañana! 💻📈

@SheTradesIct I immediately cut risk and treat it like a bug in my code. When a software system breaks, you don’t mash the keyboard harder; you stop and run a post-mortem to find the leak. Trying to 'make it back' is just emotional mashing. I step away, debug my execution, and review the data.

Buen trade en $XVNT. Una sugerencia: empieza a documentar también en 'R'. Yo mido mi riesgo así: -5R (Max Loss) o +5R/+10R (día excelente). Es mucho más universal para la comunidad. 5R pueden ser $50 para ti o $150 para otro por el share size, pero nos dice a todos que tu ejecución fue perfecta. ¡La 'R' es el verdadero lenguaje!

Te entiendo al 100%. A veces se nos olvida que en este trabajo, mantener el dinero a menudo es mucho más difícil que ganarlo. Cerrar el mes en verde en un mercado tan caótico ya es una victoria enorme. No te castigues por no sacar el 100% de cada movimiento, todos estamos sufriendo para adaptarnos.

@TheH0n3stTrader You might stumble into profitability without one, but you can't scale or fix your edge when it inevitably breaks. A journal isn't a diary; it's the raw data you need to run post-mortems and find 'leaks' in your system. If you aren't logging your data, you are just guessing.

Tomaste la decisión correcta con la información que tenías en ese momento, de eso se trata esto. Cero remordimientos. Lo importante ahora es usar esto como data: toca volver a estudiar el gráfico en frío y ver si tu plan necesita un pequeño ajuste para la próxima vez que veas un patrón así. La disciplina ya la tienes.

+340 today on small caps. Just shorting $AUUD Premarket. since ive been getting crushed i am sized down still. Pretty simple one here, shorted once the parabolic move after 7am slowed down. risked hod. Before market open i took half off incase it popped and gave me another entry. rode the rest till now since volume is lower and trading sideways.

Esa sensación 'horrible' es en realidad data muy valiosa. En ingeniería, vemos los 'casi accidentes' como logs de advertencia críticos. El sistema no colapsó (tu cuenta vive), pero te alertó de un bug grave. Bajar el riesgo es el 'parche' perfecto hasta que aísles la variable exacta que causó la anomalía.

+427$ 🟢 Luego de $PLYX se siente horrible el día. Me he salvado por un filtro de volumen, pero aun así… suerte loca. Sabemos que los SS de PM operamos con un riesgo de ruina alto; al final, nuestro negocio no deja de parecerse al de una aseguradora o un casino. Hoy mi inconciencia sobre el riesgo potencial quedó en evidencia. Tengo que ser más profesional y minimizar este riesgo de ruina lo máximo posible. Muchos dirán que “no shortear Chinas” lo soluciona… pero ¿la data avala eso? No lo tengo 100% claro. Así que, de momento: bajamos el riesgo al 1%–1,5% por trade, hasta estudiar lo más posible TODOS los eventos y buscar algún factor común que reduzca la probabilidad de estos blackswan. Ya son varios que me salvo de milagro, y no gusta para nada esa sensación. Encontrar variables en la data que ayuden a mermar estos riesgos es muy complejo, porque correlación no explica causalidad, y la idea tampoco es terminar con una regla que sea más suerte que otra cosa. Mucho que reflexionar, lo siento por los caídos !!

@EdgeToTrade In engineering, we call this an 'edge case.' You can have a system that works 99% of the time, but one unhandled anomaly creates a runtime error that crashes the whole account.

Unfortunately many got stung on the $PLYX 2,000% pre-market spike this morning. Broad spectrum data points on their own leave you open to these outlier moves. The individual ticker stats and behavior on the day also matter. A lot. $PLYX RED FLAGS : - China/low float 🟥 - no previous data 🟥 - no previous volume (prev biggest vol day < 500K!!) 🟥 - PM vol at time of spike > 1m ( >2X prev biggest DAY, yet still low vol & too risky for PM) 🟥 - Pre-market (no halt) 🟥 The red flags were out in abundance. This was literally the definition of an avoid pre-market short. Live by the sword, die by the sword. Ignore data nuances at your peril.

@starseni_ @deartrader__ 100%. To me, 'instinct' is just your brain recognizing patterns faster than you can articulate them. It’s the ultimate low-latency processor. Finding a system that aligns with your personality is the hardest part of the game. Respect.
