Tengo 82 años, 4 hijos, 11 nietos, 2 bisnietos y una habitación de 12 m2. Ya no tengo mi casa ni mis cosas queridas, pero sí quien me arregla la habitación, me hace la comida y la cama, me toma la presión y me pesa. Ya no tengo las risas de mis nietos, el poder mirarlos crecer, abrazarlos y verlos pelearse; algunos vienen a verme cada 15 días; otros, cada tres o cuatro meses; otros, nunca... Ya no hago croquetas, ni huevos rellenos, ni punto, ni crochet. Todavía tengo pasatiempo para hacer sudoku, que me entretiene algo. No sé cuánto me quedará, pero debo acostumbrarme a esta soledad; voy a terapia ocupacional y ayudo en lo que puedo a quienes están peor que yo, aunque no quiero intimar demasiado. Desaparecen con frecuencia,,, Dicen que la vida se alarga cada vez más.. ¿Para qué? Cuando estoy sola, puedo mirar las fotos de mi familia y algunos recuerdos de casa que me he traído. Y eso es todo. Espero que las próximas generaciones vean que la familia se forma para tener un mañana (con los hijos) y devolver a nuestros padres el tiempo que nos regalaron al criarnos.. The US is increasingly isolated, with allies like Australia, Canada, India, Japan and Poland switching their votes in the UN General Assembly to support an immediate humanitarian ceasefire. "The UN Security Council will vote again today on a resolution to increase and monitor the humanitarian aid urgently needed in Gaza to save lives. The US cannot afford to be further isolated by vetoing this resolution. But even if passed, such resolutions are not enough. UNSCR 2712, agreed last month, is not being fully implemented. It calls for the protection of civilians, the release of all hostages, and immediate humanitarian access. Only a ceasefire will allow for these calls to be met. "It is negotiation that has led to Israeli hostages being released. Israeli military action has caused the deaths of Israeli hostages, as well as thousands of Palestinian civilians. The destruction of Gaza is making Israel less safe. President Biden’s continuing support for Israel’s actions is also making the world less safe, the Security Council less effective, and US leadership less respected. It is time to stop the killing."
