@TonesHyus “Oh, wow, how did I get myself caught in the middle of a controversy??” 🙄🙄
English

Maybe don’t put yourself in the middle of it then?

@SarcasticCupcak I mean who wants to fall asleep on a plane wearing a mask? It’s hard enough to get comfortable on a plane and we all know this is BS.
English

Only 24% somewhat/strongly oppose? I am having a hard time believing this. Yes, I live in conservative Texas, but I know very few people who support mask mandates on transpiration at this point.
New York Post@nypost
Most Americans support mask mandates on planes and trains, poll finds trib.al/FiEdLqM
English

@kay_priceless Exactly. In real life, I don’t know anyone actively pushing masks. Even the few people I know who still wear theirs don’t seem to care that nobody around them is masking anymore.
English

@MorganSilva3 And tbh TX isn’t that conservative. 55/45 maybe. Liberals and Leftists don’t like it either, but here they don’t get social brownie points for the virtue signal.
English

@Graysonwayne95 Right, I’m pretty confused at how you could find this result. Seems like you’d really have to work for this.
English

@MorganSilva3 They must have only polled a planned parenthood or something
English

@oldmanwilson13 @Aeiouaeaeuu @RobMcIver12 @JillFilipovic It’s very complex, and not a one solution for all. The key is that we should be able to acknowledge that there are benefits and disadvantages to both and that both are acceptable choices for women to make. Working moms shouldn’t be looked down on, but neither should SAHMs.
English

No, it's not feminist policy -- or good for women -- to pay "parents" (mothers) to stay home.

@oldmanwilson13 @Aeiouaeaeuu @RobMcIver12 @JillFilipovic some cases, I just think as someone whose been a SAHM for 6 years, that more often it’s that they are isolated and treated differently or pitied.
English

@oldmanwilson13 @Aeiouaeaeuu @RobMcIver12 @JillFilipovic She says that SAHMs have sexist husbands who treat them as the help, and that they are very unhappy and depressed and her solution is to return to work. I think she has identified a real issue - SAHM depression is very real, but I think she has the wrong cause. Perhaps there are
English

@oldmanwilson13 @Aeiouaeaeuu @RobMcIver12 @JillFilipovic these claims that I see, and the fact that there are many actual mothers quote tweeting and responding to this thread telling her that threads like hers are the real issue in why SAHMs are insecure … kinda think maybe she needs to get back to the drawing board.
English

@oldmanwilson13 @Aeiouaeaeuu @RobMcIver12 @JillFilipovic I don’t see many sources to back her claims such as husbands of SAHMs see their spouses as the help and are more likely to be sexist than other husbands, or that SAHMs are unhappy specifically because they are unable to work. Since she’s not a mother, and she has no data to back
English

@oldmanwilson13 So you don’t agree with Jill’s absolutely insane thread? If that’s the case, than I apologize. Your response came across as a defense of Jill’s argument that is somehow based on both misogyny and misandry
English

@oldmanwilson13 @Aeiouaeaeuu @RobMcIver12 @JillFilipovic “Get a fulfilling job” to make them happy. It’s the acknowledgment that being a SAHM is a fulfilling job & women like Jill stop pitying and belittling mothers who opt to stay home. Feminists fought for us to have choices and yet one choice is still being shamed and looked down on
English

@oldmanwilson13 @Aeiouaeaeuu @RobMcIver12 @JillFilipovic Thats fine, you don’t have to listen to Zuby but a lot of mothers who are actively experiencing what he is saying and would agree with him on this (including myself) feel Jill’s post is one of the reasons WHY SAHM women feel isolated and depressed. The response to them isn’t
