@Plant_Insect We've don a mix of writing them in the first vs. second year. But many of the scholars in our postbacc program also write them and I try to encourage honors thesis students to write them as well. So we've got a pretty good crew in BIO if you want to join us next year!

@MorganWKelly Does everyone in your lab write a GRFP their first year if they don’t have a MS? I feel like we don’t do this in entomology (or I’m not aware of it?) I’m trying to get better at this so we all do it next year.

Wissam is a fantastic scientist, and has followed his love of natural history and an intuition about behavior to design an experiment showing something important about how climate change will affect predator-prey dynamics in marsh ecosystems.
