Had the privilege of moderating a Fireside Chat with Eric Mafuna (Founding Pres. of BMF). “Leadership isn’t about immediacy. It’s legacy-minded.” He slowed things down and lit fires we didn’t know we had.  Go find the outlier in you. #LegacyLeadership #OutlierThinking

@RUMOUR_17 @Christos_Vet @WhiteHouse @NBCNews From SA, I actually think he played a role in showing Trump for he is a little and deflected the stupid that was going on in the bigger scheme. Thank you to the 'dipshit' as he's been called.

"This is a very serious situation. If we had a real press, it would be exposed. When it gets exposed, it'll get fixed. But people don't talk about it. And I'll tell you who is talking about it, thousands of people that are fleeing South Africa right now." –President Trump 🇺🇸

I'm not unavailable. No, just working, parenting, and living. Barely present and barely mindful.

We live in an era of expectation. Expected to be available, accessible, emotionally, and physically to meet other people's expectations. And yet by grace alone, are we here right now.

Strategic Partnership Announcement Maluti Communications and Janine Hills Authentic Leadership have announced a formal strategic partnership to expand their corporate reputation and leadership advisory services across Sub-Saharan Africa, Mauritius, and the Indian Ocean region, including both English and French-speaking markets. Janine Hills Authentic Leadership, based in South Africa, is a consultancy specializing in corporate reputation management and strategic leadership advisory. The company supports executive leadership and corporate boards in building authentic reputations, with a focus on diversity, inclusion, and integrity. Founded by Marina Ythier Jacobsz and headquartered in Mauritius, Maluti Communications has been a key player in strategic corporate reputation management for over two decades. Known for its culturally sensitive insights and innovative solutions, the company is a trusted advisor in navigating cross-border communication and crisis management. Both firms emphasise that this partnership is grounded in a shared commitment to the continent. With deep roots in Africa, they aim to strengthen leadership and reputational excellence across the region. They acknowledge that effective communication strategies must be culturally intelligent and context-specific—especially in diverse markets. By combining their extensive experience across telecoms, financial services, mining, and tourism, they are positioned to offer tailored, sector-relevant solutions. At the heart of this partnership is a clear objective: to add value to clients while advancing Africa’s leadership and visibility on the global stage. @janinehills is no stranger to us. She currently serves as one of our facilitators in the Global Board Training Programme, where she leads the module on Reputation for Boards. Her contribution has been instrumental in helping board directors understand the critical link between leadership credibility and corporate reputation. Congratulations to Janine Hills and Marina Ythier Jacobsz on this strategic move. We look forward to seeing the impact of this partnership across the continent. #AskAsanteOnBoards

I am not a prop. One of the more difficult yet very recent interviews I have navigated is a 40min One on One with Ex Global Credit Suisse Boss Tidjane Thiam. A man with access to vast quantities of money and a man who governments across Africa constantly woo. I think Tidjane would have way preferred to have given a 40min speech rather than having his “lengthy”answers repeatedly interupted by this somewhat annoying woman who was determined to ask questions rather than just sit back and “nod politely like a stage prop” for the entire 40min. In hindsight I think we would both have preferred Tidjane to have delivered a speech. There was ZERO rapport on that stage. I felt very far away from home in Togo, Lome. I suppose you win some and you lose some. Learn from the loss. @ryanfullersa
