The Unused Army.
I talked about thousands of youths in my book at Kariakoo with skills to fix any digital gadget spanning from Aggrey Street all the way to Gerezani.
If we can build a proper ICT cluster and formalize ICT refurbishment centres and assembling plants possibly we can create thousands of jobs in the next few years. We can use VETA to upgrade these guys.
Everything we need for this to happen is already there. There is no big difference between what is happening there and in Huaqiangbei Market, Shenzhen. We just need strategy and execution.
We can be selling phones assembled in Tanzania all over East Africa. Massive opportunity, with DRC joining the EAC.
May be I'm dreaming.
