לכתבה>> israelhayom.co.il/news/world-new… @IsraelHayomHeb

📌🇺🇸🇮🇷 🇦🇪🇸🇦 IRAN SHUT DOWN THE WORLD'S OIL HIGHWAY FOR EVERYONE EXCEPT ITSELF AND THE US IS LETTING IT HAPPEN 🔴 1/12 The Strait of Hormuz is not totally closed. About 5% of normal traffic is still moving through it. You would think that 5% would be US Navy escorts, emergency humanitarian runs, maybe a few brave commercial operators. It is Iranian oil tankers. Heading to China. Here is what is actually going on. 🔴 2/12 Since the war began on Feb 28, the strait has gone from the world's busiest oil corridor to a ghost lane. Over 200 tankers are sitting outside it, waiting. Ports across Saudi Arabia, UAE, and Qatar are shut. The 20 million barrels a day that used to move through there are effectively frozen. For most of the world, Hormuz is closed. For Iran, it is open for business. 🔴 3/12 Iran is moving 1 to 1.5 million barrels a day through shadow fleet tankers, navigating corridors it controls and everyone else avoids. China is on the other end buying every barrel at a steep discount, paying in yuan, and bypassing US sanctions entirely. 🔴 4/12 Now add Russia. Russia has its own shadow fleet, built over two years of Ukraine war sanctions. Aging tankers, opaque insurance schemes, moving crude to India, China, and Turkey. Trump issued temporary waivers on Russian oil sanctions to flood the market and keep prices from going vertical. The logic: if American gas hits 7 dollars a gallon, the politics of this war become unmanageable. 🔴 5/12 So you have two sanctioned countries, both at war or near-war with Washington, both with their oil moving freely while US allies sit with their exports frozen. That is not an accident. It is a calculated trade-off that happens to cost the Gulf states enormously. 🔴 6/12 Washington is not oblivious. The US has bombed Iranian mine layers and offered naval escorts. But fully stopping Iranian shadow tankers risks a confrontation nobody wants right now. So the flows continue. The strategy is: tolerate it, and weaponize the tolerance. 🔴 7/12 Roughly 40 to 45% of China's energy imports move through Hormuz. By choosing not to cut off Iranian oil, Washington keeps a card it can play whenever Beijing gets difficult. And Trump has been blunt about it. He told Chinese leadership publicly: we are doing you a favor. We are deliberately not harming your energy interests. Remember that. It was a bill presented before it is due. 🔴 8/12 China understands this, which is why it is not staying quiet. Beijing condemned the strikes. It is pressing Tehran to keep the strait passable. It is burning through reserves and positioning itself as mediator. China's ideal outcome is a managed crisis, not a resolved one. A Middle East in permanent friction needs Beijing's help. 🔴 9/12 The ones absorbing the actual damage are the Gulf states. Output is down 25 to 30%. Iranian drones have hit Ras Tanura, Ras Laffan, and the Ruwais refinery in Abu Dhabi this week. Cheap drones. Catastrophically expensive damage. Iran is not just targeting infrastructure. It is making it uninsurable. 🔴 10/12 The Gulf states know exactly why Washington is not stopping this. US shale benefits from elevated prices. Trump needs gas painful but not fatal before midterms. Russian and Iranian waivers are the pressure valve keeping American voters on board. Gulf allies are absorbing the damage so American consumers do not, while feeling totally betrayed. 🔴 11/12 The global numbers are real. Oil spiked to 120 dollars before Russian waivers brought it to 85 to 90. A prolonged closure would double that. Japan, South Korea, India are 60 to 90% dependent on Gulf energy with far less buffer than China. This reaches your grocery bill before it reaches a peace agreement. 🔴 12/12 The brutal summary. Iran closed a waterway for everyone except its own oil. Russia fills gaps under US-issued waivers. China stockpiles and waits. The Gulf states watch their infrastructure burn while Washington manages its domestic politics.

📌🇦🇪🇬🇧🇺🇸 SKY. IMI. THE REAL STORY 🔴 I stepped down from the GM role of @skynewsarabia a few months ago. But I know enough about what's being reported, and misreported, to say something. So I will. 🧵@Telegraph 🔴 I was part of the conversations about @imimediagroup future relationship with @SkyNews UK long before any of the political events now being offered as its explanation. Long before #Sudan was a headline. ➡️ That timeline matters, to prevent the political backdrop from rewriting the story. 🔴 The JV agreement between IMI and Sky London runs to May 2027. The closer we get to that date, the more consequential the conversation about the future of the relationship becomes. That's why you're reading about it now. ➡️ May 2027 is the timeline driver, not any geopolitical story. 💡THE DEAT ISN'T ENDING. IT'S EXPIRING. THERE’S A DIFFERENCE 🔴 There is no link to editorial. None. I want to be exact about that. IMI newsrooms operate independently. That's not a line, it's a condition. I’ve been in enough board meetings, with representatives of both sides, to attest to that. 🔴 What's happening is a standard, ongoing, commercial negotiation, in which both sides are. No decisions have been taken. This is what normal looks like in a long-term media partnership under industry-wide pressure. 🔴 The media industry is being structurally dismantled and rebuilt at the same time. Every major brand is reassessing partnerships, platforms, and revenue models. This conversation belongs entirely in that category. ➡️ Anyone inserting editorial or political logic into it is working from the wrong map. 🔴 I don't normally comment on institutions I've stepped away from. But when the narrative drifts far enough from what I know to be true, silence starts to mean something I don't intend. telegraph.co.uk/business/2026/…

Watching @CNN and getting annoyed by the one-sided coverage against Israel. They mention Israel's attack on Hezbollah, and completely ignore what Hezbollah is doing, firing missiles at civilians every day. What did you expect Israel to do, turn the other cheek? Hezbollah is a terrorist organization that belongs to the Muslim Brotherhood. The interviewer is sitting there, and she's just a puppet. Shame on you, have some balance. Lebanon is an independent country, and its army needs to fight a terrorist organization.

UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan visited injured people from Iranian attacks at the hospital today, including one Iranian national. “We are in a time of war, I promise that we will fulfil our duty. It is our obligation to protect our people and our country,” MBZ said in his first public remarks since the start of the war. “To the enemies of the UAE I say: Do not be misled by the UAE’s appearance. The UAE has thick skin and bitter flesh. We are not easy prey. “We will carry out our duty towards our country, our people. I promise everyone that we will emerge stronger than before.”
