@FearedBuck Most of the men here are neurotic and lack confidence, you can tell by how they look around at each other to make sure it's okay to not be interested They don't even know what they like without confirming with other men

Hybrid Athlete || Elite Performance
Deontay Wilder hits hard due to his frame and how quickly he can accelerate it. Very long frame makes legs look skinnier but he’s a large guy + limb length provides a lot of leverage for certain strikes thrown a particular way. Jon Jones is an example of a long limbed athlete with very different punching technique and it doesn’t translate to power the same way. Different movement strategies can create different outcomes even with the same body type. Wilder hits hard for a different set of stacking qualities than someone built like Tyson.

Wilders legs and punching power surely defy science

Whenever I’ve been stagnant in life it’s because I stopped dreaming. Once you lose sight of a vision you begin to accept your lot in life. You have to keep a grand vision, a better reality, focused and center mind. Imagination really is key, you lose that and you lose all the excitement in life.

@shanemb1013 @A24 Surely the most obvious sign something is good is that people will pay money to go and see it? For most people, marvel is "Good", which is why they pay to see it. People interested in film on an artistic level often have a skewed idea of what the average person thinks is good.

@Gibboanxious Unpopular opinion but if you find yourself noticing how good the acting is, they're probably over acting Real high high level acting seamlessly immerses itself and doesn't distract from the story

I've noticed that it's the people who are the least intrinsically interesting / talented / whatever else, who dress in the most flamboyant way Almost as a means of trying to attract the interest & admiration that people only usually get for being talented

Despite everything that's happened, if you didn't have social media, you would have no clue I have a few close friends that are not on social media at all. Asked them their opinions but they didn't have one because they didn't know anything was amiss Lesson there

There has been a sizeable shift in how people treat their political affiliations. When my parents had friends around for dinner in the 90s, people BARELY spoke on politics. Same age now as my parents were then, and conversations often turn to politics within 5 minutes Why ?

Weirdos and outcasts should be identified and helped from afar. Never agitated. I’ve had enough experience with them to know bullying is the worst thing you can do, and it’s rarely them who suffers the most sincere and violent punishment. One weird kid in school was an Indian boy with a high pitched voice and a lumpy oestrogenic physique. Pointy chest, and a jiggly belly walk. Used to get picked on to a moderate degree and you could tell he had a pent up rage. He’d write so hard he occasionally tore through the paper. I always noticed it. Was kind to him, but learned to keep my distance. Time bomb. One day we were playing cricket at lunchtime and they told him he was out when he wasn’t. He snapped. He took his cricket bat and smashed the head of the kid nearest him repeatedly until he was unconscious. Then kept screaming. People with such internal rage are more common now, because society bludgeons them at every opportunity. Spirits are crushed. It’s never been more dangerous to agitate or rage bait. Most are already filled with it. They’ll look for any excuse to release their anger. Not worth making yourself a target.

@GuruAnaerobic You're not wrong here Guru, but historically Oxford has always accepted people with lower grades Usually it just happens to be people from wealthy families who financially contribute to the university in some way

@ArtOfDialogue_ A good life lesson to anyone with ambition If no one likes you on a personal level, and you're horrible to them, when your usefulness on a business level runs out, they will let you suffer

@DestinyBond_GG @DiscussingFilm Not to the people in the know, but whenever people mention best film directors of the 2000s, Wan should be mentioned alongside nolan, fincher etc in my opinion, especially if we consider what he's produced as well

@MovieGoerModern @DiscussingFilm I fully agree but in no way is the man who directed Saw, Dead silence, Malignant, the conjuring 1+2 and insidious 1+2 underrated. He dominated the 2010s as the best horror director rivaled only by Mike Flanagan imho. He also directed an aquaman movie that made a billion dollars.

@_filmcrave Should be interesting, but the trend of directors using the same actors in a similarly themed story makes their films run into one another and feel like a slog Scorsese did it but he is the master. Reasons why Yorgas Lanthimos sucks
