Giants coach John Harbaugh and area scout Brendan Prophet had an extended conversation with Caleb Downs at Ohio State's Pro Day. The standout safety is in the discussion for the fifth pick. Harbaugh was there with a large contingent that included (among others) GM Joe Schoen, owner Chris Mara, player personnel director Tim McDonnell and assistant GM Brandon Brown. Notable that Harbaugh attended because he has not always been a regular at Pro Days in recent years. Of course, this Ohio State group has a chance to put four players in the top 10 or 15 of the draft.

Is there a danger of how a possible addition of Love will resonate in the locker room due to a player whose personality and popularity is as high as Skattebo's is? Yeah, I think it's a real factor to consider - for about 5 seconds if Love is as good as NFL thinks he is.

The Giants (2-13) have dropped nine in a row. Franchise record is 10, done last year. Their last win was on that Thursday night in October over the Eagles.
