@jason_drolet @davidalter This is a good point. I probably still think the minor penalties shouldn’t count but this is good reasoning for the opposite

@MrBond___ @davidalter Another way to look at it. Only a goal can be overturned due to a missed stoppage. You can’t challenge that after a penalty call.

This essentially protects players. Say a player on the opposing team knows it’s offside and is fairly confident. This makes sure the player doesn’t go ahead and do something dumb knowing he won’t be penalized.

@OlesBusWheel Yeah I think if it’s anything they deem to be worth a 4 minute penalty or more then that should stand
But no way should a minor penalty still be enforced on play you determined shouldn’t have happened. You’re not ‘protecting players safety’ by doing that

How can a team still be charged with a penalty for something that happened after the time (which they reset to btw) a play that they reviewed and determined was offside ?????
Why does the goal not count but a minor penalty does?????

Did the NHL just royally screw up and were lucky that the game was not decided because of it?? How can they award a penalty shot for a play that happened AFTER something that they decided was offside?????? Is this not just totally wrong?
