Last night a hacker exploited a vulnerability in the polycule bot and stole user funds. We have found the source of the vulnerability, and are working on the fix. Once it’s deployed, we will recover or reimburse user funds that were on polygon via our treasury. Our community will always come first.

6/ I wanted to make this post so more people do not continue the privacy mistake of accidentally revealing their transparent address when bridging with shielded ZEC until a Zashi update is implemented. Should I do more posts like this in the future about how to maintain proper onchain opsec? I am considering to offer a service for individual traders or boutique funds looking to anonymize their activity to reduce the chances of being fingerprinted onchain. While initially I had concerns about making such posts I am frustrated with the lack of action by industry leaders / law enforcement to help victims and recognize the growing issues around privacy. 1/ As part of my work I like to test out privacy products and figure out what works and what doesn’t so I can abuse any design flaws for my investigations. With the recent hype around Zashi & its Near Intents integration I tested it for Zcash.

There is no alt season. That dream died when the market matured. Capital doesn’t just blindly rotate into every coin anymore it consolidates into Bitcoin and ETH, the assets with real liquidity, adoption, and trust. The days of every random alt pumping 100x are gone. Retail isn’t going to gamble on bags with no future they put their money where the system is strongest. BTC is the foundation, ETH is the ecosystem, and everything else has to prove itself or get left behind. Alt season is a myth now and people keep selling to trap newcomers. WAKE UP, this cycle is about survival of the fittest.

And each of *those* 100 addresses sends to ~18 fresh (vulnerable) addresses. For those keeping track, that's 180,000 addresses so far. And then a couple days later they consolidate 3 addresses to another new address. And then consolidate 3 more. And then do it again. And then...well...they all sit with like....~0.000059 BTC for 5-7 years until someone sweeps the dust up in 2023, 2024, or 2025. 🫠

I went through the addresses in the MilkSad list for this specific vuln to see what else was there. There's 64 addresses in this batch. The Chen Zhi/Lubian addresses were the only ones with real balances at the time. Meaning: it wasn't like someone was picking and choosing.
