What took me by surprise was how easy it was to find and create a small division within the Pro Palestinian resistance movement using the actions of one man, Erdogan of Turkey and a few Erdogan loyalists. Out of the blue Hamas, Hezbollah, Iran, Syria, Russia, and Yemen were against Palestine and Erdogan is now the "savior" who will "liberate" Syria and march all the way to Jerusalem. He will march all the way to Jerusalem all right to shake Beelzebub Netanyahu's hand. Erdogan has always played all sides against one another and now he is suddenly supposed to be trusted? In the previous Syrian war it was openly exposed that the so-called war crimes that Assad committed were falsified, faked, and just Western propaganda, but now he alone is the bad guy? Every action Erdogan makes benefits Israel and the U.S. alone along with there Jihadi proxies like ISIS and Al Qaeda. Enough said. I am loyal to Palestine, and Erdogan ain't. If anyone doesn't like my position, then it's best to unfollow me. I don't speak on my own accord but also defend journalists, military experts, diplomats, and analysts who called Syria correctly from day one. The Ukraine, U.S., NATO/Russia war, Israel's genocide, the U.S.'s future war against Iran, it's all connected, and Mr. Erdogan's hasn't filled me with confidence for one millisecond. He chose the road to Zion. Any realistic geopolitical analysis of the Syrian political situation must openly grapple with three obvious but widely denied facts. Without accepting these facts, no realistic solution to the conflict is possible. First Fact: The Necessity of Forcefully Removing Asad Since the 1960s, Syria’s Alawi minority – led by the Asad family – has controlled the Syrian government. They have fiercely and systematically discriminated against the Sunni majority – ensuring that Alawis dominate all the top political and military positions. Indeed, to keep Sunnis subservient, Alawis have undertaken the most constant and extreme persecution of Sunnis found anywhere in the world. They have ruled through terror to maintain their power – arresting, torturing, and disappearing countless Sunnis. There is no way that Sunnis can be expected to tolerate a continuation of this situation. Asad must be forcibly removed from power, and a new government that reflects the Sunni majority must be established. Sunni Islamists will necessarily exert significant influence over such a government. Asad’s Shia allies (Iran, Hizbollah, Houthis) need to acknowledge that Asad’s regime cannot be sustained, and they should cease supporting it. Second Fact: Israel and the US Seek to Foment Sectarian War and Eliminate Sunni and Shia Islamism In keeping with the Yinon Plan, Israel and the US are trying to create a situation where Syria is kept weak by constant sectarian war, and Islamism is eliminated throughout the Middle East. The key to this plan is creating a situation where Sunni and Shia Islamists fight one another without end. Israel and the US will aid Sunni Syrian Islamists kill the Shia Islamist allies of Asad (i.e., Iran, Hizbollah). But Israel and the US will also prevent Sunni Islamists from taking power in Syria (or any other Arab country). This will be done, in part, by forcing Shia Islamists to fight and weaken them. Third Fact: The Future of Syria Will Largely Be Decided by Outside Powers Syrians alone will not decide the future of their country as they are too militarily and economically weak to establish any kind of independence. Rather, outside forces will play a dominant role in deciding the future. The ideal solution would be the following. Turkey, Iran, Russia, and China come to a deal. Turkey commits to expanding its power in the Middle East, and backs a new Syrian government which reflects the Sunni majority. Iran and Russia agree to this arrangement, abandon Asad, and force him from power. In return, the new Syrian government forms an alliance with Iran and Russia in addition to Turkey. Iran and Russia are given guarantees that Syria will not ally with the US against them. Iran is also given a guarantee that it can supply Hizbollah in Lebanon. Russia, aided by Turkey and Iran, arms the new Syrian state which joins Turkey, Iran, and Hizbollah in opposing Israel and the US, and in aiding Palestine. Meanwhile, China is brought in as a fourth ally, with a long term economic plan to rebuild Syria, and develop it, with the eventual aim of integrating it into BRICs and the Belt and Road Initiative. Unless a solution of this type can be negotiated between countries like Turkey, Iran, Russia, and China, Syria will become a pawn of Israel and the US. They will destroy the country through unending sectarian war. They will also seek to spread that war throughout the Middle East.
