@MayaZaWorld For a lot of people, it isn't about engaging with an incredible combat system — it's about catching Pokemon and the novelty of being able to battle with said Pokemon. The battles are simple, straightforward, and easy to master, and that's part of the appeal for most people.

I genuinely don't understand this mentality, Pokémon is one of the flattest, slowest, and least fluid RPGs I've ever played, what is it that makes people who claim to hate RPGs make an exception for it?

Dragon Ball Daima's viewership is... Not great. But after digging, I realised it never stood a chance. You might think it's just the marketing but there's even more behind Daima's middling performance than I ever thought. I made a short video explaining the craziness!

If a game is not created, the would-be players would just play other games.
Whereas If a cure is not created, the afflicted are screwed.
So maybe this is sad, but I don't think my work is 'really important', even if I was making something meaningful and not just bouncy blobs game

Being married to a rare disease scientist ( focusing on one’s that affect children specifically ) I used to think what we did as artists wasn’t really important nor did it really matter in the grand scheme of things . And there is some truth to it ( to some degree ) 🧵
