In 2020, I joined Roblox during the pandemic, dreaming of building a game. That project failed — but I didn’t stop. Nearly four years of experimenting, learning, and trying again followed. I even tried fundraising for a Roblox studio, only to be rejected more than 30 times.
Those setbacks led me to avatar items (UGC) — a hobby that unexpectedly became a business. One of my early items went viral, though I only noticed it in 2024. That moment revealed the real potential of this space and became a turning point.
One year later, Topcat has grown into one of the leading fashion creators on Roblox:
• 1,558% year-over-year growth
• Over 1 million monthly items sold
• Sales exceeding those of established global real-world fashion brands
