🇮🇷🇺🇸 Iran released footage of the IRGC Navy warning two U.S destroyers to turn away from the Strait of Hormuz yesterday, or risk being targeted. As expected, the U.S carried on, Iran threatened they were about to launch an attack on them, nothing happened. Wise move Iran, you wouldn't want 2 U.S destroyers opening up on you. 🇺🇸🇮🇷 During the war, the U.S lost one of its most advanced spy drones over the Strait of Hormuz: a $200 million MQ-4C Triton.
It dropped from 50,000 to 10,000 feet in seconds after sending a distress signal, then vanished from radar.
Why it matters:
This thing is packed with America’s most classified radar and surveillance tech. It can fly for 24+ hours at extreme altitudes, scan millions of square miles, and track almost any ship, even in brutal storms.
If Iran gets the wreckage, they could hand it straight to China. Beijing would love nothing more than to reverse-engineer it and figure out how to blind U.S sensors in a future fight.

The Strait of Hormuz is Iran's nuclear deterrent, for now. But Gibbs fears that won't hold. The lesson of Libya is seared into every watching government: Gaddafi gave up his nuclear program, got promises of safety, then was overthrown and tortured to death. North Korea kept theirs and survived.
The assassination of Ayatollah Khomeini removed the one figure whose fatwa explicitly blocked Iran from going nuclear. That barrier is now gone.

The hub is tied to Gaza ceasefire and aid efforts.
The reason: Israel says Spain has developed an "anti-Israel obsession" and can no longer be trusted as a fair partner on Gaza.
