@thwacknicklaus I play hickories myself, but I’m of the opinion that the persimmon and blade era represents the time when golf stuck an ideal balance between skill and technology. That’s why I cast my vote for them.

I had a rough day at work today. Came home late and was surprised to find that one of my friends shipped me a belt and socks from the Honourable Company of Edinburgh Golfers. Why? Because he knew that the shop was closed when I finished playing there in August. I didn’t ask - he didn’t tell me- he just did it. It’s been a long day of ups and downs but it ended on an up. He didn’t have to do this- but it goes to show you that golfers are the best people. #GolfHistory
