The sister piece to that one was also gifted by the Chairman to another party, but I was not at that meeting and so I have lost track of it. Someone out there has an early work piece! Those two were created in Clinton Iowa in the Mont St. Clare building's 5th-floor art studio.

@MattVegh's Zodiac Legacy Lunar New Year Exhibition will be held in Chengdu and of course will feature a number of horses for the Year of the Horse, along with all of the other animals of the Zodiac. 50x50 cm, oil and metallic acrylics, ink wash tiles, with impasto medallion.

If "Spring" was the quiet whisper, "Autumn" was the full-throated roar. This is the piece where Matt Vegh finally let the knife run wild: molten crimsons, burnt sienna, flashes of fuchsia and violet slammed into thick ridges of gold-flecked paint that still look wet seven years later. Back then these early Four Seasons left the studio between $1,000–$2,000 USD. Today the evolved descendants trade privately in the $4,000–$6,000+ USD range because the world finally caught up to what he was doing. This particular one, together in a bundle of 8 original works at $20k USD equivalent. Works that our artist/founder @MattVegh has tried to buy back on several occasions from the Chengdu lady collector, only to be rebuffed with a smile. Here’s a secret only a handful of us know: every explosive stroke you see in Matt's current work; the fearless drag, the sculpted peaks that throw light like shattered rubies, the way metallic pigment rides the ridges, was born right here in this Autumn canvas. This isn’t just an early piece. This is the Big Bang. One of the original hundred. All now in private hands. The moment Abstract Portalism went from experiment to obsession.
