Whether it was because of the backlash or not, it’s a reminder that customers do have a voice. If enough people refuse to buy something, prices sometimes come back down.

Kendrick lost 1 billion streams and over 40 million monthly listeners following NLU and GNX. UMG had no choice but to give him non stop radio play for several months straight to compensate for the loss. His "run" was 100% orchestrated and people are starting to realize it. He can't sell albums and get the streams as other bigger artists so they use these awards to try and force him into conversations he shouldn't be in. His commercial performance just doesn't consistantly match the top artists. At this point there's no way you can convince me that this guy is not an industry plant.
